ORIGINAL: JulieorSarah So ladies, are you attracted to younger men ... not the obvious eye candy reasons ... but for a sustained relationship .. and why? i've been in a few relationships with younger guys, up to 9 years younger than me, and they were all vanilla. This was when i was 28 and had just divorced from my husband, of 7 years, who was 14 years older than me. So, the contrast was wonderfully refreshing and energizing for me and helped boost my self-confidence about being "too old" to date. This was in the mid '80s. They were fun and energetic and we had a lot in common, as far as music and outdoors activities, like bicycling and camping and such, goes. But, for long term relationships, they just didn't do it for me. They were a little immature for my taste and tended to rely on me to make all the decisions. There was no way i was going to marry a guy who couldn't make a decision for himself. quote:
for me i'm 48, and have always preferred older men, but i'm now discovering that for many males, once they've hit 50 or not much older, they are 'too old for ...' most activities ... those that are in their early 40's still want to live, do stuff, try new things ... am i alone? i love older men. i love all the stories they have to tell about their lives. i love their appreciation for life. i love that they have learned a thing or two about life and enjoy passing that wisdom on to others. As long as they are healthy, the ones i have been involved with, even up to their ealy 60's, have all still enjoyed doing a lot of activities with me. People need to realize, before they reach 50, or even 40, that keeping them self healthy is so important for being able to enjoy the second half of their life. Being overweight, not staying physically active, smoking, excessive drinking, etc., can bring about health problems that will keep you from being able to do the things you like. This, of course, goes for women, as well as men. joy Owned servant of Master David
