You know, the more I am around people, the more doubts I have about the viability of the human race.

I gotta agree with you there, Jeff. Actually I think that's just kind of hopeful thinking on my part about the non-viability thing. Because once the humans have all died off, the world will be mine!!!

Uh, I hate to tell you this, but for some reason, stupid people survive to breed more stupid people.  Granted a few die off, but not before breeding.  Google "Darwin Awards"

Thanks Holly...the wedding was great, a few minor glitches, but everyone looked wonderful!  Vincent looked scared to death, and Angel just glowed.  It was great to see all of my ex-inlaws and family members from the ex-hubby's family again.  It wasn't awkward at all, which is what I was afraid of.  Altho, I didn't recognize any of the kids.....I talked to my ex's brother for 2 hours before I asked Donna who it was...she said it was their son Kurt, and I'm like, "No, it's not!"  D'OH!  And my parents met my ex's parents for the first time....we were never in a place that we could do that while we were married.  My mom fell in love w/my ex's grandmother.....they sat and talked for hours.

I still can't believe my baby is married!

Well, I have gone northwest to Alaska, now its time to head east to Saskatchewan to visit family (and show of my new sapphire ring). I hope you all have fun while I am gone. To ensure this .....

Everyone raise their right hand and repeat after me:

I solemnly swear

[I solemnly swear]

I am up to now good.

[I am up to no good]

Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to do everything I wouldnt!!!

So . . . I made cookies today. A double batch of oatmeal cookies sans raisins (yuck!)

The other half had a couple while they were baking.

At the point I brought out the baggies so that some could be frozen, he descended on them like a starving Labrador. Because, OH NOES! THE COOKIES WERE GOING AWAY! NEVER TO BE SEEN AGAIN!

For goodness sake, I only put five dozen in the freezer. There are still a bit over three dozen on the table. Now, of course in a covered container.

Why do guys do this? I mean really, just how many cookies does a person have to eat all at the same time?

I admit I used to live with someone over 20 some years ago.

I admit I used to make 12 dozen chocolate chip cookies at a time.

I admit if I went to visit my family for the weekend, I could be assured that when I came back, after 2 days, all the cookies would be gone.

I admit I asked him why this was so, and he replied because then he didn't have to cook for himself, the cookies were there.

I usually bag and freeze them when nobody's looking. This way ensuring I have some for the future. That stopped working last Christmas when I discovered a bag of three dozen peanut butter blossoms was just crumbs. The kid said he didn't know I was saving them! How could you not know? If they weren't being saved, they would have been in the cookie jar. Now I just mark things with large signs saying "Do Not Eat".

I freeze cake slices and cobbler pieces and such as well. For some reason though, it is ONLY the cookies that seem to cause such panic.

I swear that there is NO padlock on the freezer.

I just do not always want to have to bake something just because I want some dessert or a treat. *sheesh*
