Thanks dear....I'm so bad with techie stuff...I barely know the difference between an overbite and megabite!  (OK, so my sense of humor is as bad as my techie skills.....sue me!)

I actually inherited the laptop back, they've decided to use their desktop I gave them back a few years ago.  Not sure what I'm going to do with it yet......I have one of each, but really, I'm seriously thinking about changing the OS on the laptop....I hate Vista!  I just have to figure out how to do the wipe again......I did it once on the laptop, but can't remember how to do it again......{sigh}...getting old sux!

Status: offline 		Thanks dreamy.....Thorny's got the new molestication candles, I asked for scented ones......I lubs me some candles that smell purty!  I'm partial to vanilla and berry blends, especially mulberry!

yeah, good luck....I did the same thing 2005 and then was told off from my ex (whom I was dating at that time) when he reinstalled my laptop with telling me "you deleted stuff you should have never even touched "

There is a reason why he got scarce (might be the word) when it was about fixing my laptop during my studies, with me ending up just regularly buying another one to have a working one...instead of waiting for him to bother to have time

Status: offline 		Hey gang. I'm doing ok with this hip thing, but it did prevent me from climbing on the back of a mokercycle last night to go for my first ride in 25 years. Serious sad!!! I take one pain pill every 12 hours & another one in between if I have break through pain. I had some extra pain tonight, so took the extra pill & got pretty much fucked up. I'm glad that I didn't have to be anywhere or talk to anyone. I'm off to bed now, hoping for a good night's sleep. I go see the regular Doc tomorrow to see if she can figure out why my feet & ankles are so swollen I've not been able to get shoes on for weeks. Lin's Law of Doctors says that the feet will be normal size tomorrow when I get there, which is what happened the last time I saw her. *sigh*

Hope y'all are having a great weekend. I don't stop in here too often. Poke Holly for me. Night!!

My nips are hard!!!!!!  yeah, pathetic, but I get so little joy lately, I'll take it anywhere I can get it!

Ok, the molestication candles are ready!  First batch is vanilla and berry (mixed blend) sold in packs of 6.  I have tapers from 8 - 12" and a few column candles about 8 -14".  They have long-burning wax and are effective as far as you can smell them!

Status: offline 		oooh!  oooh!  I'll take 6 of the colum candles in each scent!!!  I can smell them already!!!! 

I'm impressed with the u-verse.  It's about half the cost of cable, I can upgrade and add TV if I want to later, it was simple to install, I was done in about 30 minutes.  I also got a wireless ethernet thingy, I have to figure out how to use it for the laptop.  Just make sure you get your passcode when you order the service.....apparently, I didn't, and I never got the letter giving it to me.  It took one phone call, and a short online chat session to get me straightened out.  And this was at 2 am!!!!!  24/7 support!!!!  A real live person yet!!!!!  Trust me, I am NOT easily impressed by a company, but AT&T knows what it takes to make someone satisfied.  Even after the 12 month special goes off, I'll still be paying about a 1/3 of what my cable would be.  Give it a shot!

Status: offline 		WOW!!! The U-verse sounds most wonderful! I have this silly Verizon MiFi, which has a limit to the number of Gigs I get to use each month. I've managed to go over that amount twice now & I've only had it since March. Unfortunately, in order to change, I kinda have to win a lottery, since I will have to pay an early cancellation fee & pay for the device which they gave me for free when I signed up. Thank god the house has a wireless modem I can also connect to. But it has issues, so sometimes I don't have internet at all. And right now I'm completely dependent & strung out on my internet access. Being somewhat housebound has done that to me. *sigh*

Status: offline 		No FIOS in my area yet and cable wants 2.50 a foot to come up my driveway. At 1300 feet that ain't happening. It's DSL out here in the woods, and we were lucky when it showed up when it did, a year later than they first said..

Status: offline 		My parents live out in the sticks, and have satellite....no cable there yet.  They use Sprint for their internet, they have the same thing that I did, and they seem to get pretty good coverage and speed.  It's probably because there's no interference like there is in a city.

Celeste, if you ran the cable, would they hook you up?  Do all the physical labor and leave the ends exposed so they can hook it up?  Just a thought.  I don't know of anyone who has it, but there's also internet by satellite if you have the dish up already.

Linnea, I can understand where you're coming from.  I always think I don't use my interwebz for too much, until I don't have it....then it's like going thru withdrawal!  I do all my bill paying online, I haven't mailed or dropped off a payment for anything in years!  I haven't written a check since 2000! 

I know that no system is perfect, but since I've tried three different ones, I have to say for the price, the U-verse is the better deal right now.  It's a tad slower during the day, but hey, everyone's awake!  At 2am......it ZOOOOOOOOOMS!!!!!!!!

One of these days, my fingers will spell "about" right the first time!  Sort of like "hte"!

Status: offline 		They won't let us run it ourselves unless we dig a trench and bury it. This despite the fact that I own my own electric poles. They set it up so you have to buy it from them. We have satellite tv as a result.

Status: offline 		Good morning Gang! I have returned from the wild frontier known as Alaska. What a beautiful place. The kidlets were entertained and occupied so hubby and I had some down time. Whales and sea lions and bald eagles and icebergs calving. Well over a 1000 pictures, so it will take some time to organize them. No phones, no internet for 8 days - simply glorious. The jewelery in the ports-of-call was simply amazing! I lucked out and came home with a sapphire ring. My little one now has 3 topaz necklaces, as well as the start of her first charm bracelet. I thought the weather could have been better (we hovered around 12 degrees C), but according to the ship people we were really lucky as we didn't hit any rain. Our day cruising Glacier Bay was fairly sunny. The food and the sunny, smiling service was also amazing. We are already looking forward to our next cruise, probably in about 18 months, down in the Caribbean, on a Disney Ship.

Status: offline 		One of the things that I really really want to do before I shuffle off is an Alaskan cruise. I've always wanted to see Alaska, ever since I was a child. Our family has some roots up there: a couple of the siblings of my Grandfather settled there instead of Canada & WA State like the others. So I've heard such wonderful stories. I also love going on a cruise; I love the water. I'm glad that you had such a good time!!

Status: offline 		I SOOOO loved being out on the open water, even when things were a bit rocky. At least I think it was the water making me weave about - it could have been the margaritas! The trip out on the crab boat was extraordinary - you are so low down and close to the water - the sea spray on the face exhilerating. In my next life I want to come back as a sailor of some kind - just so I can be on the water.

Or as a pilot - I just love the thrill of the takeoff. My kids both had their first plane ride this trip - my 8 year old went WHEEEEEEEEE, and my 13 year old went NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He's not going to be a naval fighter pilot I guess! lol
