She KNOWS what rabbits look like. She has plush rabbits and there are rabbits outside.

I am not sure why she thinks it looks like a rabbit. I understand that The Daily Squee, her Baby Zoo Animals book, and the animal children's programs don't really show Cthulhu or Yog Sothoth or a Shoggoth or a MiGo. I am just surprised by "rabbit." Frog or lizard seems a bit closer.

ShaharThorne -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (3/18/2011 7:50:37 PM)

I just found a bunny (rabbit) that has not been worked out yet.  The evil from within is tempted to work on it (after the afghans you silly girl)..

Why are you trying to corrupt my monster?

ShaharThorne -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (3/18/2011 8:08:06 PM)

In realty I feel better when I am working on something.  I just have to kick my own ass and get all of these afghans before I agree to do anything else.

Years ago, I was playing  Vampire The Masquerade and had a nice collection of books.  When Lizard wanted to be read to at night, I just grab one of the books and she fell right to sleep.  I noticed that she tried to stay awake as long as possible when I was reading the Changling books and Giovanni books...don't know why she like that clan...and Mommy was a True Brujah.

Yes, I have corrupted my daughter into Anime...

I am not really worried about her being corrupted by you or anyone else.

I understand the feeling better when you are working on something. There is a reason that I do not make a good stay at home mommy. I go bonkers. I think that it is great that there are women and men (the other half and my BIL are two) out there that can and want to do it. I am glad that they have that option. I am also glad that I am not the one doing it. [:)]

ShaharThorne -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (3/19/2011 9:37:15 AM)

I enjoy working on anything that is crocheted.  Right now, it is my nieces and nephew afghans, a friend's afghan (she wants to pay $100), and my 2 aunts one of which is a lovely shade of purple.

Mom wants a cthulhu monster as will, but I told her she needs to wait...LOL!

I crochet to keep from getting one of my episodes (maniac to deep depression or both)

I decided that when the afghans are done, I will make a penny afghan with the leftover yarn.  It is like a penny quilt but you use yarn instead and you can use it in place of a granny square.

When I get the afghans are done, I am going to show them off as well...

I'd be more worried about sweet little Butterhead corrupting her!    [8|]  That is one ittle girl who is too smart for your own good!

She is TOO smart for my own good.

We have the "special" chocolate box. It started out as mommy's chocolates, but Butterhead discovered them and so it has morphed into the "special" chocolates. There is really nothing special about them, but I do keep dark chocolate pieces and seasonal pieces in their.

I had been keeping this box on the top of one of the pantry area shelves. Butterhead knew it was there and one evening decided that having to wait for a parent was too much trouble. So she got one of her chairs out and scaled the shelving and brought the box down.

I am not positive how many chocolates she got to eat before I realized what she had done. I had been having a couple pieces and so I knew that she had snagged one or two of my desk (which was fine.) I noticed though that one of the chocolates she was unwrapping was a different color.

The box has now been moved to an unassailable location.

[sm=rofl.gif][sm=rofl.gif][sm=rofl.gif] Well done for pointing that out soul.

When I went home for mums birthday my mum couldnt help it to tell everyone that the locks in their main cupboards only exist as I refused to listen not to keep emptying those cupboards (where of course my brother had listened to them with saying that once! [8|] typical butt crawler [>:])

She also was too eager to tell everyone that my mum had mon cherie at home and placed them on a...what you would name "unassailable location" which hadn't worked as I pushed a chair to that location, stood onto it and still eat it...mum finding me, standing on that chair, spitting out the disgusting stuff in mon cherie...which i had discovered that way...

though I think thats just a lie...I would never have done that [&o]

anyhow, in case she didnt lie that might be the reason why I don't like mon cherie [:)]

The other thing about her discovering she can mountain climb is that when she and her friends start to play hide and seek, expect her to climb and hide up there.Make sure the shelves will hold their weight.

Yeah, I have been thinking that finding someway to anchor the book shelving may be a good idea. We moved the 6 foot ones into our bedroom but there is always the possibility that little ones may decide that it is a perfectly acceptable place to play no matter that the rule is not too.

Child logic is interesting.

and sadly sometimes leads to bad errors...a few years ago kids were playing hide and seek outside (I didnt know that kid, it was in the news back home) where one kid was hiding underneath a huge bunch of fallen leaves on a foot path...and a car who had to drive onto the footpath due to other traffic coming along went into that hill of leaves not knowing that a child was hiding in there...that sadly went fatal for that child. Sorry, but just remembered that sad story.

Phoenixpower -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (3/20/2011 4:42:12 PM)

today I watched a psychic show which was hillarious. the psychic informed a woman on behalf of her mum to tell her two kids and a 3rd kid (she needed a while to figure out who that one is and then remembered that sometimes there is a 3rd kid to stay over) that it isnt a wise choice to freak each other out with spooky ghost stories...the mum didnt seem to know about that...with letting her daughter know as it is perfectly possible for her to freak out her grand kids and their friend if they keep insisting on tempting her [:D] loved that one [:)] The mum later said that her mum would have such an evil streak and it wouldnt surprise her to actually do that [:)]

But hearing such stuff makes me now even more weary to go home when parents are on holiday...in past I was only afraid of spiders...now it could even be granny [&:] gosh, I watch too much TV at present [&o]
