Just a real idealization of what happens from the body before surgery and the after effect.  I will have to reopen my live journal or just develop a new one.

I really need a drink but I am avoiding the rum in this place.  I prefer Amaretto or wine coolers as my vice (unless you count flogging and spanks). 

Don't worry, thorny.  I am in my right mind.  Besides, the doctors are recommending the bypass because of several medical issues that are popping up.  This way, Medicare will pay for the surgery.  I just wish that they can do a tummy tuck as well...LOL!

I got a meeting with my benefit worker tomorrow. Maybe that will keep me on hand with the MHMR.

Shar...just a thought...would they consider "harvesting" your tummy skin for tansplanting?  Maybe Medicare would cover something like that?  And there's usually a need for the skin for grafts and stuff.  I'm not up on the regs, but you'd never know if you didn't ask.

I have been thinking of giving Brook of burn center here in TX (San Antonia) some of my skin but it is a case by case situation.  If they need the skin, I would gladly give it.

I have decided to go for the sleeve surgery because it do not interfere with the intestines, but what is left of the stomach looks like a sleeve.  I will be out in a couple of days.  Liquid diet for a few days than  a soft diet.

My case worker is all for it.  He is going to talk to "Nancy" and have her sign on the recommendation with the letterhead on so we can get ready.

At this time, burn centers are using the patient's unburned skin to take root and grow.  One guy had his skin taken from his back (fire hit his front, hands and arms)  The graft from his own back work except for a small part.  Since he has "retire" from the factory, he is a trucker and cannot be out in the sun.

Howdy all!

Today for work I am paying "Miss Suzy-Homemaker." *Snicker* *Snort*

I am learning how to use a new sewing machine to make some replacement cable covers.

It is not that I have never used a sewing machine before, but mine is a 1950's White sewing machine and this is a new Singer Heavy Duty. And I bet that it is not threaded from the left. We will see if I sew my fingers together or not.

Well, I have not sewn my fingers together but let's just say that I will not be winning any Miss Suzy Homemaker awards anytime soon.

No one is perfect, and we all make mistakes. Ssome people on these forums have more than one thing going on at a time and it's impossible to catch them all.  We may joke around some, make fun of the trolls, whatever happens in this thread, but we tend to support each other.  A job offer may have been lost in this case, so making fun of that person isn't all that funny.  SHIT HAPPENS.
