Owie Owie owie... I had 4 teeth removed, so I should of been in incredible pain. Not one bit. I went ahead and got the painkillers. They came in handy when I had migraines. Mom just opened the cookies..yells at Mom to make sure DS does not come over

Just passing through... I am getting these really annoying headaches, which of course I blame on the weather. I am debating what to have for dinner. My stomach is off... not sick, just off. I need a plain food thing. Or a nap.

Well, I'm not in any more pain than I have been....that will come tomorrow when they actually do the oral surgery.....WTF is it that dentists don't pull teeth anymore? Now it's a specialist for this and for that......so, I'll be under the knife, or pliers, or whatever, at 9:30 tomorrow morning. I had to cancel a job interview, but it was for a part time position...the one I really want is on Thursday, full time at Comcast....one of their bennies is free cable and internet! That'll save me about 145.00 a month! Lord knows I can use the break...... I did freak out a bit tho.......I really, really, REALLY am terrified of dentists......and making me wait is not the way to calm me down! The dentist offered me valium, but it really isn't effective, and I don't have any way to get home if they dope me up anyway. All they need to do is shoot me full of novacaine and yank......and then get outta my way so I can leave!

And Lady H, are you sure this headache is from the weather, and not that idjit on the other thread? I don't know what it will ever take to get through to him.....OY! Maybe a big 2x4?

Ok Jeff, Bring on the snow and the ice. We are under attack by wasps and are afraid to go out. Other than that, we are doing fine. Got the Brothers Grimm book in today for my nieces and nephew.

Well, I'm done with the oral surgeon....if he can be called that. The guy gave me 4 quick, and I do mean QUICK, shots of novacaine, and them left me sitting there....by the time he got back the stuff was wearing off! So he goes in, grabs the bottom tooth and starts to pull.....I came up out of chair....."Oh, does that hurt?".....so he gives me a bit more novacaine on that side, goes in, grabs the other tooth on top and starts to pull....all I can hear is the sounds of breaking tooth....snap, pop, snap.....he rips that one out in pieces, even tho I'm still coming out of the chair, he doesn't stop. I finally feel him pull out the last part of the root, and then I hear "WOW...there's an awful lot of infection in there". He sucks some of the blood and stuff out, jams a piece of gauze in there and tells me to bite down. Oh, how I wish his finger was still in there! I sit up in the chair because I'm feeling like I'm going to throw up or pass out....they bring in the O2 and hook me up. He goes away for a few, comes back and says, OK, it'll be a wiggle, wiggle, POP, and we'll be all done. Yeah, Wiggle my ass.......but at least that one came out in one piece. I get prescriptions for Vicodin and penicillin....when I pull the gauze out of the top tooth, it's covered in pus.....I have no idea how long there was an infection in the gum. Anyway, I'm home, and in pain even with the vicodin. And now I'm going to lay down, because I'm light headed again......I HATE DENTISTS!!!!!!!! That was the worst experience I've had with one.....I could have done that much with some ice and a pair of pliers! He didn't even stictch the gaping holes shut!

Best thing I can recommend is a quarter bag with ice in it and a small towel wrapped around that don't want to get a mild case of frostbite I was the one in pain before the extraction and I feels tons better afterwords. If I have to remove more teeth, I get the 2 buckling in my upper jaw, both left and right and get some brackets to staighten out my mouth (and get my fangs up to sniff).

Celeste, neither one of us were even aware of any kind of infection up in the gum. It didn't show up on the x-rays as a spot, and other than toothache pain, I never felt anything different in the gum. I had to put off getting it pulled once before because of an infection over 2 years ago, I took the anitbiotics, but ended up not getting it pulled....I was talked into a crown......which didn't work either....it was the tooth I had pulled today. I could tell he was really surprised when the pus appeared......I'm guessing there was a lot of it, since it was still coming out over an hour later. I finally got the bleeding to stop by wetting a teabag and putting it in the gap and biting down on it...then I fell asleep for a bit. I know.....the ewwwwww factor was gross.....I almost passed out in the Wal-mart parking lot when I changed the gauze pads......what is the sick urge that makes you look at something you know is gonna be gross????

Most dentists would recommend antibiotics for 2 weeks before performing any exaction. I had to take some antibiotics to kill the pneumonia (for the 2nd time) and told him I was doing a round. He did not preform the extraction, but he did some heavy cleaning. Dr L-W is the old fashion doctor/dentist, did not specialize and he is good to his patients. Every time I go see him, he has a little thing on the ceiling that makes my laugh. One thing for sure...he takes debit, check and cash (if I have that on hand)

Well, Shar, if I get the nerve to go back to any dentist, I need one of those heavy duty cleanings, too. Did I mention that I hate dentists?????? Right now, I'm starving.....any other time, eating ice cream would be a good thing, but I want real food...like a nice juicy steak! I'd even settle for a peanut butter sandwich!

WHEN I win the lottery, (i keep having a dream that my mom is giving me the lotto numbers, and it is always the same numbers) I plan to have all my teeth pulled and have implants put in. Of course I am going to request longer than normal canines.

Shhhh...I got some mac and cheese hidden in the freezer. I want Mom to get to bed so I can hide the M&Ms and 3 musketeers that I brought yesterday. On the news tonight that was a discussion how chocolate will be a ht item.
