Actually, Phoenix, docs all over are getting "stingy" with antibiotics.....there are so many different strains of bacteria and other crap out there, and the reason they are resistant is because so many people have taken so many antibiotics. And antibiotics don't work a damn against a virus......it just needs to run it's course. I don't even bother asking for antibiotics anymore, unless it's for the boils I get when I get stressed. My son gets bronchitis every winter......he pretty much takes over the counter stuff to alleviate the worst symptoms, but antibiotics don't even help him anymore....I often have wondered if it was because he was on them for 18 months straight as a baby due to his ear infections. I hope you feel better soon......hot tea and honey, chicken soup.......when I'm sick, that's my comfort food!

okay...who unleashed hell and put me in a tornado warning? I was able to hear some of it as we were getting the kids into my bedroom with all the pillows. It touched down about 6 miles away from us. we are okay, just raining now and thundering. I am going to bed right now. catch y'all later.

well s2s, I had still preferred them, havent had that many of them in my life so far as most colds are fine without them, but last time when I was told it wouldn't help it then did help 2 months later as I described....so quite frankly sometimes I doubt them being accurate with their diagnois....however, I guess I get there...her stuff to losen whatever in my lungs that I am less coughing is a good relief...time to tidy up a lot today as my landlord comes tomorrrow to pick up his rent (the estate agent somehow screwed it up and did not put in a standing order for it to happen and he will give me his bank details that I am able to arrange a standing order for the future) and also wants to see his new kitchen as he says he hasnt seen it so far...so I better get a good tidy up here and if I am lucky I might manage to get my bed together, too, finally....so I think I am getting better but it pisses me off big time that I lost now almost half of my salary due to that cold, it really could not have hit me in a worse week than this one...well, that means no big money coming in until end of january...just usual salary....but I know, I should be grateful for that already [8\|]

Well, Phoenix, remember, there is a reason why they say docs are practicing medicine.......one day, they'll have "practiced" enough to get it right! [:)] And I'm not sure what's worse, a head cold or a chest cold.....either way, I'm just hoping to dodge the little germies!

I LOLVE this time of year!!!!! All the scary movies on TV....AMC has been playing lots of them the whole month....right now, I'm watching The Wolfman, the original one....believe it or not, I've never seen it before! And there's still a week to go before Halloween! It's zombies tonight......BRAAAAAAAIIIIIIINNNNNNNSSSSSS!

I want to watch AMC so bad, but Moms' satellite does not carry a few favorite channels (BBC America, AMC,TCM HBO ). In fact, I have to buy the True Blood series so I can enjoy it (I luv Eric, the good-looking sheriff) Meanwhile, down at the ranch... Second Tornado warning within 24 hours. This time, I did not hear it flowing like I did yesterday. We are going to throw the kids into my closet since the floor is covered with yarn. Oh...and bring the dog along...I know no one wants a blind, deaf, ancient Cocker Spaniel. I just want to the storming to stop so I can get my spring garden ready (bluebonnets and other lupines)

fluffy, i hope your move goes smoothly, and, at least according to wunderground.com, the weather should clear by 8 am tomorrow. i consider that a good omen and wish you the best with the move. i'm sure you and Master Rich will have a wonderful life together. shahar, i hope you have been able to come out of the closet and that the house is still standing around you. huggs and chicken soup to Phoenix. Colds are nasty for sure, and in your line of work it's probably necessary to stay away while in the throes of one.

the back yard looks weird, like some kids trying their hands at crop circles training. Momma Kitty and Meanie are in a chair looking like this +. It is so weird. I felled out of my bed earlier. got a bruise forming on my left arm, who knows what else.

SNOW is a four letter word which I prefer never to use in conjunction with a place where I might be! Thank goodness I no longer live in the frozen north. I'll keep the light on for the visitors.
