ORIGINAL: soul2share That's good news, Phoenix, I hope she continues to improve, and that she takes over her "mommy" duties again. I hand reared a litter of 15 mice.....I know what it entails. OY! I think it's great that you might/will end up keeping them, too.....but I own 4 of the little beasties, and I am an advocate for more than one kitteh in the house anyway. Oh yeah, one more thing.....PICS! It is indeed S2S yesterday when I came home she headbutted me a bit and lied next to me for TLC but still hissed at her boys... today she demanded even more attention again, ate the whole portion of 85g (posh cat food to try to encourage her more to eat again) and then...at last ...she picked up her smallest boy who I had just fed, grabbed him as gently as never before in his neck and carried him into the cupboard...mommy and son reunited again at last I was delighted big time that she decided to continue with her motherhood and not abandoned them ... at first I left her with just one, the other one could scream how much he wanted, it did not trigger her to pick him up (which normally would have been the case) and when I heared him miaowing in the cupboard I knew she is cleaning him...which was overdue, I have to say... Later I brought her and her son upstairs to my neighbour as I am on nightshift tonight and there then I added her other son to her...and thats the picture from proud mommy reunited with her sons after she has been sick for 2 days and was not able to look after them...proud to be able to look after them again and yes, I am going to keep the boys having now a gang of 6 furrys + a garden troll who regular comes to eat from their food
