slaveboyforyou -> RE: Good bye to Hummers (6/3/2008 10:27:37 AM)

I've always thought Hummers and Hummer2s were ugly, boxy looking things.  Good riddance as far as I am concerned.

kittinSol -> RE: Good bye to Hummers (6/3/2008 10:29:32 AM)

They terrify me.

KatyLied -> RE: Good bye to Hummers (6/3/2008 10:30:05 AM)

I sure don't want to be in an accident with one.

kittinSol -> RE: Good bye to Hummers (6/3/2008 10:32:09 AM)

Exactly: especially if you're a pedestrian and they're backing out of a parking space. Or if you're stuck between an army of them on a highway: you can't even see the sky, those things are so monstrous. But, they're going away, at last...

Good riddance to bad rubbish [:D] .

NO big fan of the gas guzzlers, Im more concerned about the loss of all those jobs, each plant employing approx 2,500.....

My brother works for Chrysler/Dodge and said where they used to have huge mark up on the larger trucks, they can't seem to give them away fast enough these days.

I never liked Hummers.  They're big, ugly, and smack of a Look At Me! attitude.

kittinSol -> RE: Good bye to Hummers (6/3/2008 10:45:12 AM)

They're for people with an inferiority complex.

How true.  Conversely, I drive a Prius.  What does that tell you  *wink*?

Sensible, solid, fuel-efficient.

[:D]

ToysAndTies -> RE: Good bye to Hummers (6/3/2008 11:01:48 AM)

Usually when I drive past Hummers, I throw up the universal "small penis" symbol; the inch of space between the thumb and forefinger and head thrown back in laughter.  They don't smile at that much...

kittinSol -> RE: Good bye to Hummers (6/3/2008 11:06:16 AM)

That's a bit naughty, isn't it [:D] ?

popeye1250 -> RE: Good bye to Hummers (6/3/2008 11:06:16 AM)

But what if they ran on hydrogen?

kittinSol -> RE: Good bye to Hummers (6/3/2008 11:10:29 AM)

The one use for these monsters is disaster relief - but most Hummer drivers don't give a toss about disaster relief - they're too busy jerking off behind the wheel (when they can get it up rofl).

cyberdude611 -> RE: Good bye to Hummers (6/3/2008 11:19:03 AM)

The bad news in this however is that more US plants are going to close. And GM plans to open up new ones for the fuel-efficient cars in Mexico.

So more outsourcing is the result.

Hummers, yes.  Trucks, not so much.  Trucks are actually for those who need to move lots of heavy stuff.  I can't do my farm work with a prius,  Hell, the animals would laugh at me.

kittinSol -> RE: Good bye to Hummers (6/3/2008 11:27:16 AM)

Sure, no reason to slam people who need a large vehicle, to transport stuff, people and animals, especially when they live in a rural area. Hummers in town though?
