Hi. Can it be done on this site? I couldn't find the right room (assuming it exists)

OMG I'm a vanilla. Well how did that happen?

i think you have to close your current account and open up a new one to change your name here.  the vanilla will go away after you've got some thread posts under your belt.

Yea, recently I had to change my username so I just closed my old account and opened a new one since I joined very recently anyway...not too much effort at all, except I had to re-type my whole "About Me" section. Bleh

Well if you had copied it first, you could have pasted it in.  Control-C and Control-V are your friends.  You could even have saved it in a document on your computer.

Well of course at first I did, but when I viewed it on my profile, it came out choppy and half the sentences were cut off and stopped mid-way only to begin on a new line, and the formatting was very annoying. Tried changing fonts and sizes, but it didn't help so I just typed it over. Not really a problem, though

whenever i am making a new profile, somewhere, i copy and paste it into notebook... then paste it wherever i need it to go.. takes care of a lot of formatting problems

You can do it, even keeping your old account. There is a signout button. Once there just apply for a new account. If you remember the password to the old one you can also still use that, but I think with this software every time you sign in in the different name the cookie will be replaced. The automatic login will switch to that name until you switch it back.

To do that because you have decided you don't like your handle is one thing, but trying to hide is another. I won't do that, partly because I won't, and also because it would never work. Someone would get me into a political thread and everyone would know who I am quite quickly.
