Hi.

I have read informative and enlightening discussions on these boards regarding Florentine flogging -- both the 4-count and 6-count varieties.  Now having the basics of these styles down, I am trying to learn the "reverse" (sometimes called underhand) Florentine technique, so far without much success. 

Anyone care to hazard an explanation of how this is done?

Now, if you want to do it in reverse, instead of going down to hit your thighs, go up to hit your shoulders.

I don't have my camera with me and I'm traveling, so I can't do another vid just yet.

SIGH...why can't I get my computer to play these kinds of clips all the way through without it stopping ???!!!!!

Excellent video!  I have seen a few in-person demonstrations of this technique, but your video was much clearer and easier to follow.  Thank you for posting!

My computer starts and stops the first time i watch a video.  I solve the problem by having it play once without bothering to watch it...then hitting the replay button to watch it again.  The second time it's always played right through without stopping.

Ya know...I saw this. I learned how to do a 6 point floentine over the phone. THAT was easy. I don't have a good enough system to see what I need to see in the second video. And since I don't know how to "reverse florentine" I'ma be a tad bugged by it now. Hmmm...how do I figure out how to do this before SELF...

That's the "Behind the Back Weave". It'd look nice with floggers and all, but if the point is to hit the bottom AND hit accurately...well...it does, however, look cool as hell with poi!

I learned those patterns so long ago with sticks and swords, that it actually messes me up to analyze what I'm doing with floggers and such, but those are still great vids for folks wanting to learn.

I loved, loved, LOVED those spinning videos. Would be awesome to see that with fire floggers or under black lights! I'm going to have to ask Sir for permission to play with the toys now...I want to learn to do that.
