Actually, Ill buy it but without the racial connotations. They note Houston as among the worst and to be frank we have the most fucked up crime here on the planet. Not exactly high, but bizzare. There is a joke in my community about "dont fuck clear lake girls"... Heres why:

then we had the minister who microwaved his baby to get satan out of it, the dragging of the black guy in Jasper, the hispanic teenager who was buttfucked with a patio umbrella in front of an entire graduation party (including parents) for asking out a white girl, the whole Vietnameese Clusterfuck in Seabrook in 1981 (Vietnameese guy stabbed white guy, 2500 armed Klansmen rolled into town and maiking amphibious landings and boarding shrimp boats at sea... (Who in the hell knew the KKK had a Navy???) the woman who put 60 rattlesnakes into her exhusbands front door mail slot, the guy who went to the highschool and stabbed the wrong kid for deflowering his daughter, the crazy daycare teacher who stole the kid from the daycare center and wouldnt give it back, the whacko who anally raped the male cop during a routine traffic stop, the woman who fatally posioned her husband by pouring a fifth of booze up his asshole... and so on...
Honestly our crime here in Houston, even in affluent white areas full of college educated professionals (Clear Lake is NASA) , is off the fucking wall. When there is crime in Clear Lake it makes national news and the "can you believe this" section.
I read the paper and Im not surprised by the stuff in "The Mog" (What we call Little Mogadishu aka where the Katrina refugees congregated.) Im not shocked by that its your usual blue handkerchief gang member shoots red handkerchief gang member shit... But the white crime - microwaving demon posessed babies? Dentists running down dentists with a mercedes? Diaper wearing astronauts? Cheerleader Hitmen? etc half the time when I read the Chronicle Im like WHAT THE FUCK????
I always thought it was the Jesus Freak thumpers more than the Ozone but who knows LOL
