When the sun illuminated the lens of the Telectroscope next to the Thames, it was, of course, still nighttime in New York. So the screen inside the scope broadcast back only an empty sidewalk silently framed by the Brooklyn Bridge and the Manhattan skyline. http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/europe/05/22/scope.project/index.html Oh wow this would be so neat to go see! The story behind it almost sounds too fanciful to be real. [:D]

It's a couple of HD video cam's hooked up to plasma screens hidden inside the fancy wood and brass tubing fake ends, with the images sent real time via a broadband link. It's basically a giant webcam. Neat idea though.

You have to be careful with those devices that a fly doesn't get into one with you, I've seen it happen it isn't nice.
