Brilliant episode tonight - Gok Wan (the presenter - the name's Chinese!) is an absolute hero! This week's lady was a breast cancer survivor. She'd had a mastectomy, lost her hair and was so depressed. A short while later, she was transformed into a beauty - with the biggest change in her self image and self esteem that allowed her to be that beauty. Gok accomplishes this week after week, walking women through a staged plan to build their confidence - but this week was especially wonderful. Yes, its sort of reality TV - but its positive. It really does make a difference to people and just shows how important psychology is in how we view ourselves, present ourselves and so are viewed by others. E

that sounds like a worthy idea for anyone. i know so well how much "my thinking" effects how i view myself....i've come to realize recently that my thinking is quite skewed...it weighs heavily on the ridiculously negative and critical side. but even though i realize that, it's hard to change what has been going on for 20 years in my head.

hmm. I just washed 8 loads of laundry. Im sure that will increase in the summer. I think I need to buy MORE clothes, mainly socks, as I use more in the summer. I hate going to the laundrymat.
