They have a call into a neurologist to consult, but think they want to move forward with steroids -- there can sometimes be swelling of the brain for CH cats post anesthesia. But before dispensing the steroids, they want to check for toxoplasmosis -- they don't think that's what we're dealing with, but they want to be sure before they do the steroids. So Toxo test results should be back today. If they come back negative, they'll give her a steroid shot and then send her home with oral steroids and I can pick her up tonight!!!!!

three angels here..little Jilly, her brother Jolly who is guarding her, and the Mommy who is going to pick them up tonight.

I talked to Dr. Streck, who did the surgery, and she says what she sees of Jilly today is on par with what she saw of her pre-surgery. They havent' done any treatment -- just may ahve taken her longer. Dr. Streck does note that she doesn't seem to be as active or as mobile as her brother -- in terms of getting them back to you -- the vet says they're ok to release

That's wonderful!!! George, Katie,Marcel,, and Garfield were all sending her best wishes from here!!!They were all rescues, and some not so long ago...I am also glad that she will be ok...I had tears in my eyes at the beginning of the thread( I am late reading it) and am glad to hear you have good news at the end!!!!

Thank you, kc92, thank you ALL! A brief note about their 1st night home The 1st night was great! Jolly was his usual little holy terror self. Jilly was a bit apprehensive/would try & hide from me when I went to pick her up, but by the end of the night, she was cuddling on the couch w/me, purrrrring away. This AM she was her usual self, thank GOD! So funny, her brother was wrestling w/her & she was making the cat wrestling screams and when I said his name, "Jolly" he looked at me, backed off/sat down. Jilly grabbed his tail/bit him so the fight ensued :)) All is back to normal!
