Chris Matthews demolishes right-wank radio babblehead Kevin James on "Hardball:

Im sure he had fun with his 500,000 viewers. Seriously, Chris Matthews has one of the least watched programs in cable news. He's even more biased than Keith Olbermann. The both of them just have way too much man-love going on for Obama.

Kevin James was too stupid and arrogant to have actually taken a couple of seconds to google Chamberlain. He deserved exactly what happened to him. I'm guessing his agent had the pleasure of telling him his career was over on Friday. I can't imagine he can recover from that debacle.

Mr. James should have done his homework before going on Hardball.  This man looked like he had egg on his face after Chris Matthews ask him about the difference between appeasement and negotiation as cited in one of the biggest blunders that Neville Chamberlain made by giving Adolf Hitler Czechoslavakia, which culminated in promoting the power of Nazism and World War II.

Mr. James should also consider this quote from George Santayana:

"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it."

I remember interviewing one judge who had three male buck deer heads on his wall.  This showed me that he was a man who would blast attorneys who were not thorough in preparing for their case or else they may become the deer head on the wall!  For me, that was a very intimidating yet educational observation.

From what I have seen, Mr. James was trying to talk over Chris Matthews to make his point and he was shouting.  Hey, you can make you point in a debate without the histrionics.

Chris Mathews failed to do his homework. He's supposed to be a professional left wing talk show host yet he can't screen his guests any better than that? Or was his goal all along to go out and find a nobody to make fun of...

Either way, it's not very professional on Mathews' part, at all. It's little wonder he's at the bottom of the market.

I have seen worse with Bill O'Reilly calling someone a "looney" which, in my opinion, is also considered unprofessional just because this individual's beliefs are different from his...maybe you felt that Mr. Matthews also behaved in the same manner as well.

Chris Matthews failed to do his homework? That is funny. James was pitiful on that segment, he had absolutely no clue what the history of Chamberlain was, it is frightening when even W has more of a clue than that guy.

I have to throw in as well that just because a news program has less ratings or fewer viewers does not speak to the quality or integrity of the programming. Popularity does not equate quality. Remember, this is the country that actually calls Fox News...um news, and voted for Bush twice. Sheeple...

Heya Hippster....if you're going to call someone a moron....well...it's moron, not maroon (unless you were discribing his color?)

Good for Matthews. I like him, and watch him whenever I get a chance. Him, Russert, Olberman, and Joe Scarborough all do good work for MSNBC.

It's a cheesey game on Mathews' part. An old game, called "gotcha". It's bottom-of-the-barrel talk show antics, and it's nothing to be proud of.

Mathews' boys went out and found Chris Mathews a shmuck (which are a dime-a-dozen) and they dragged him on to Mathews' set for a classic set-up.

Mathews, a former Jimmy Carter speech writer, is obviously desperate for ratings - and it's showing.

That is some seriously goofy spin Mr. Sanity puts on this. LA talk (scream?) radio babblehead James makes a complete ass of himself, but the fault lies with Mr. Matthews for not screening his guests well enough. That's about as fucked a rationalization as I have ever encountered. To top it off, Mr. Sanity gives us a textbook example of the False Cause fallacy.

Do they really think like this? Unbelievable.

I note that  lefties criticise Bush for "not appeasing" Saddam and Chamberlain for "appeasing" Hitler.
Have I mis understood something ?
No doubt someone will tell me if I have.

I just see an individual gasbag getting skewered, but it's pretty funny.

Funny, I knew exactly how you meant that bit. Of course, I love WB cartoons from 1930-1980ish. I dislike almost everything else except anime.

Goddamn it, I hate Disney!

I note another right winger misusing the term appease. Just par for the course I guess.

I knew somebody out there in the digital wasteland would pick up on it. So glad it was a friendly.
