What is gun play in the Bdsm lifestyle?

MasterFireMaam -> RE: gun play (5/13/2008 12:28:02 AM)

"Gun play" means you use a gun in a scene.

Master Fire

azropedntied -> RE: gun play (5/13/2008 12:42:18 AM)

and lets also hope that  the ones using it "gunplay" are smart enough to use it safe , crosses  fingers .

Owner4SexSlave -> RE: gun play (5/13/2008 12:46:15 AM)

Some people even get off on playing with Loaded Guns in a scene.  Me, I'll just stick to using water guns and such.   That's the extent to how far I will go with gun play.

kanokano -> RE: gun play (5/13/2008 3:25:57 AM)

I've been shooting since grammar school, and since then, it's been drilled into me that one should nevere point a gun at someone they do not intend to actually shoot, regardless of it being loaded.  However, i am not going to tell people to stop.

So please, remember that when the magazine is removed, there is still a live round in the chamber.

Knife play FTW

Here's a 10 page thread on the topic.

Good advice for those using automatic-loading firearms, but don't forget some of us prefer the greater reliability of a revolver.

"Firepower isn't the number of rounds discharged; it's the number of bullets that actually hit the target."

Dnomyar -> RE: gun play (5/13/2008 4:51:51 AM)

Quits looking down. I thought we were talking about the other loaded pisstol. If I point that at someone Im going to shoot.

batshalom -> RE: gun play (5/13/2008 5:37:37 AM)

Besides the obvious safety precautions, make sure to clean the gun oil out of the barrel. Ptoooeyyyy! (Not only is it nasty but it tends to coat the mouth, and is nearly impossible to spit out.)

A hard limit?

StormsSlave -> RE: gun play (5/13/2008 6:15:08 AM)

...note to self...add to hard limits.

Gun play means you use a gun to intimidate/frighten/excite the scene.  Frankly, My Lord's presence is intimidating enough.  I respect his power the way I do a gun.  Both have their purposes.  His is for our mutual sexual pleasure, the weapon is for self-defense.  Othewise, the gun stays loaded in it's holster.

MKINYK, but that doesn't mean I can't think you're nuts.

Put a condom on the barrel.  A good dom should respect his shotgun.  Damned hard to get the shit out of it later

Floggings4You -> RE: gun play (5/13/2008 6:47:52 AM)

Get a length of metal pipe from a hardware store, have it hidden under a sheet, blanket, etc., and show the submissive the real gun.  Then, put a blindfold on the sub, and hold the pipe to his or her head, put the 'barrel' in his or her mouth, etc.  There are lots of ways to do gunplay that do not ever include pointing a real gun at someone--but the sub doesn't need to know that.

(There are also 'replica' guns that look and feel very, very real, but which are incapable of actually firing.  If I was to play with someone who was really into gunplay, I'd look into getting a replica gun or two...really nice replicas can be a bit expensive...)

In this crowd I wouldn't even call myself competent regarding many BDSM related activities but I am an expert on firearms on many levels.  While I understand the attraction to gun play, not only would I never do it, I would leave any venue where it was going on.

Remember, only unloaded guns kill people accidentally.   Even noose play allows you a few seconds, if the chair breaks, to save someone.  Guns shoved in some one's mouth or up someones urethra allow slightly less time after they go off.  Shit happens.

I wouldn't look down on someone for doing gun play it is just something I myself cannot do.  Fucking some one's wet cunt with a kitchen knife has its risks too, a sudden spasm or sneeze while six inches of razor sharp steel are sliding in and out of your woman's cunt could cause a few issues too but it is one I am comfortable with.

Dnomyar -> RE: gun play (5/13/2008 7:07:34 AM)

It's been well-explained as to what gunplay is.  Though it has not been mentioned, I am quite sure that for some extremists(?) there are scenes in which a gun is pointed at a submissive and after he/she is good and scared...perhaps begging for his/her life...a shot is fired overhead.

Personally, gunplay isn't for me.  Like many others, I was taught that you never point a gun at someone unless you feel yourself fully capable of shooting that someone and dealing with the ramifications and unless you feel fully capable of dealing with the ramifications if the gun discharges accidentally and the person you were aiming at but not intending to fire at ends up getting shot anyway.  Since there aren't a whole lot of people I feel that way about...though there are several I can think of, though certainly none of the submissives I would want to play with...I am not going to involve gunplay in a scene.  Your scene?  Your choice.  Still won't stop me from thinking you might have a screw or two loose if you are using a "live" weapon and might not even stop me from telling you so.  And then walk away from the event that lets you do so.

OmegaG -> RE: gun play (5/13/2008 7:37:07 AM)

wow--there seems to be alot of people in Michigan.

I now covet your boots.

Gun play would bother me.  Water guns are preferable IMO as the trigger can actually be pulled

SailingBum -> RE: gun play (5/13/2008 7:38:02 AM)

Yanno there are somethings that you just don't play with...  Kinda like poking a tiger with a stick.
