Hi. Just a quick word to those of you who condemned my use of China and India as examples of countries where human life had little or no value. I hope your all watching the news about Burma and wondering why the two countries who could help aren't.

Wow, I missed you being condemned for using China and India as examples. They actually are great examples of where real human slavery is going on today.

Why never use Myanmar or North Korea or other countries too as examples of regimes who have appalling human rights issues?

And besides, the countries who offer help first are the usual suspects with the most cash, the UN infrastructure always asks, and who are nosiest when it come so their people getting a foot in the door of regimes generally closed to them.

India are still in the throes of sorting out and paying for the rehabilitation of hundreds of thousands of their own people in the northern territories, or had you conveniently forgotten that small fact? Sometime charity and relief monies are more needed at home.

i could go on, but i think a more fulsome response would be lost on you.

I'm somewhat mystified by your response as well. Have I awoken in an alternate reality?

Why would such a response as you gave "be lost" on dignified?
