I can't believe people are still attacking the president for his reaction after being told of the attacks while he was sitting with a bunch of 3rd graders.

What exactly did you people want him to do?

I want a real President, thank you. Not this cruel joke on America that has sat there for the last seven and a half years.

Since Clinton is unlikely to have the Democratic nomination, that leaves you voting for McCain.  Obama is a milquetoast buffoon.  He has no substance, no new ideas, no leadership skills, and no spine to speak of.  He's not just another Carter, he's "Carter-lite" (who would have thought such a thing is possible?).

If Obama makes it into the Oval Office, you can count on Al-Quaeda and every other terrorist and insurgent group operating in Iraq to step up attacks on American forces, forcing Obama to either commit more troops (which he has promised not to do) or let the terrorists send American troops home with their tails between their legs (which he dare not do).  Johnson and Vietnam, part deux.

Meanwhile, his pathetic pabulum of Universal Healthcare will run aground in the Democratically controlled Congress, because congressional types like being re-elected more than they like supporting one of their own in the Oval Office--ironically, the best thing the Democrats in Congress would be able to do for the country if Obama is President is wantonly indulge their own self-interests, and restrict Obama's lunacies to his rambling racist speeches.

Obama can't be President because he's not presidential material.  He's a socialist jackass who has no business being in public office.

Apparently, they wanted him to do what Democrats have always done....posture, pontificate, and panic.

Can you explain why Bush closed the CIA`s bin-laden unit?

Or this?

"truely not concerned about bin-laden"

How does that tie in with the OP? I think that discussion has so much merit, it should be it's own topic. But hey that is just my opinion.

So what do the Hillary folks think of the news story in my OP?

You mentioned terrorist groups operating within Iraq.

Funny how before Bush,there were none(accept in the part of Iraq Bush controlled, before the invasion).

Now apparently we gotta stay in Iraq forever.which will bankrupt us(one of the goals of al-queda,like with the USSR).

Now you`re gonna say that Mr. Obama can`t do better?

A rock can do a better job as president,than Bush has.

Now I know that intelligence and sophistication intimidates you and the bushies,but that`s really what we need right now.

Not a dumbing down,but a raising of performance.

We`ve tried the dumb guy approach long enough.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
At least Mr.Obama will know and understand the nuances,differences and distinctions of the middle east and will at least be curious.
McCain doesn`t know what a Shea or a Sunni are.Nor does he seem to care.
An indication that he sees the world the way the failed neo-cons do,brown people are to be targeted,tortured,killed or run into refugee camps.
His only strong point,military experience, isn`t helping during McCain`s "senior moments" and his temper gets the best of him.Not a good thing when you`re finger`s on the nuclear button.
If you want endless war,if you more wars and more wasted lives,vote McCain.
If you want a broken army and a bankrupt treasury,vote McCain.
If you want the economy to continue downward and the cost of gas to double,again, vote McCain.
If you want to never capture bin-laden or break al-queda,vote McCain.
If you want our vets/GIs to continue to be denied basic needs and never get a hand up,vote McCain.
If you think that things are just peachy as they are and want them to continue this way,vote McCain.
I`ve asked these very same questions from you,before.
And typically,as now,never an answer.
I don`t believe the act.
      i think calling McCain a Bush proxy is a bit over the top.  If anything not too long ago, he was the anti-Bush, as far as the RNC was concerned.  Sometimes i think Dems forget how close McCain was to being "ex-communicated" from his own party.
i keep hoping we see the "old" McCain when he's done courting the Bush republicans.
    i think it's reasonable to allow some politics as usual from either of the major parties. Isn't that how the game is played?   Rich people start bringing up their blue collar roots to seem approachable...People whose children have never seen the inside of a  public school(and i'm not judging them, mine are private schooled) start talking about what "we" need to do in "our" schools...people whose only contact with a person of color on a daily basis is their golf caddy, gardener, and housekeeper, start showing up eveywhere with dark faces on a stage...it's part of the game politico.  It's the reason i registered Independent...but all that being said, McCain was pretty close to coming over to my party not too long ago, so Bush proxy, i think not.
*umm wtf is up with the paragraph spacer today??? it's like a freakin' e.e. cummings book over here!!!
Looks like you hit the justification buttons. Look up at the top of the edit text box. See the B, I and U? Notice the three buttons next? The left one is 'left justification' IOW the way paragraphs are normally formatted.
The next button is 'center justification.' Which is how this paragraph is justified. It basically centers the text.
Finally is the one you must have clicked somehow, 'right justification.' Which aligns all the text with the right margin. Usually only useful in word processing apps when putting an address aligned to the right margin.
And now back to normal. Hope that explains what happened to you.
I think we have the right guy. The question is, will superior character triumph over America's inherent racsism?
Obama will have to get over his own racism to win my vote.  He claims his white roots when it's convenient and then he reminds us he's black when it's convenient.  I see any decision he makes will be weighed.. was it black enough or white enough.   If you note the people in background of his speeches.. they started out primarily black..then his preacher felt at liberty to spew his own racism feeling secure that ~Obama is my buddy~ .  Obama still hasn't addressed the other black preacher that called his mother white trash.  I guess that is ok..after all..she was just a white.
NOW take a look at his "supporters" in the background of his speeches..  looks like a blizzard.
Use people to your own advantage, I guess.
I saw something on the news the other night.  That if Obama gets the nod...the Hillary supporters will vote for McCain.  Now that's just plain STUPID!  But that is what was foretold.
Remember folks.. you can always write in your candidate.
I agree with cyberdude simply beacuse Obama refuses to cover his hand over his heart in respect to the American Flag.
Now, that my friends, should be an eye opener.
Not true.
Pardon me? Which photo do you think is fake? Are you sticking to the claim about Obama not putting his hand over his heart during the anthem or not?
TheHeretic -> RE: So how are the Hillary folks feeling now? (5/10/2008 11:26:40 PM)
       Ummm,  Ken?  The link you posted says very clearly that the picture of Obama cradling his balls during the national anthem is accurate, and the reports are true.
     It was just one of the politically dumb and/or naive things he has done through the campaign.  It will hurt him, if he is the nominee.
Irishknight -> RE: So how are the Hillary folks feeling now? (5/11/2008 5:52:03 AM)
Maybe thats where his heart is
You might note that snopes also showed quite conclusively that Obama does not refuse to put his hand over his heart for the anthem. It showed a that he didn't do it once it also showed other instances where he did.
I think it will have no effect except to make liars look like the liars they are.
Those weren't 3rd graders.  They were midget CIA agents in league with the president to frame terrorists for killing Americans with fictitious planes.  Don't you read the conspiracy theory sites?
bipolarber -> RE: So how are the Hillary folks feeling now? (5/11/2008 7:12:00 AM)
Flag pins. Hand over the heart during the national anthem....  THESE are the issues you select the leader of the free world by?
How about... getting us the hell out of the Iraq quagmire? People are FUCKING DYING!!!!
Or the economy... The mortgage crisis, the cost of gas, food shortages overseas...
Education: "No Child Left Behind" has created a crisis of "push outs"... kids that the Bush plan caused to be dropped from school rolls in order to keep their funding. Our dropout rates in high schools are the highest they've ever been in the history of the US.
Constitutional crisis: Torture, wiretapping of American citizens, phone calls logged, selling of personal information, misuse of "signing statements" to allow Bush to break the law repeatedly...
The looming Supreme Court Battle for America's soul: THREE of the supreme court justices are planning on retireing... as soon as someone other than Bush gets in. If it's a democrat in the white house, we can be assured of a woman's right to choose, free speech, and continued progress in civil rights. If an evil shit sucking republican slimes his way in... you can expect something more akin to "The Handmaids Tale."
Get a sense of perspective, people, fer chrissakes!
bipolarber -> RE: So how are the Hillary folks feeling now? (5/11/2008 7:16:11 AM)
Not to mention, 3/4 of the above was CAUSED by the GOP having their slimy little hands on the wheel for the last seven and a half years.... Can we really afford a third Bush term... even by proxy? Even with McCain being the puppet leader instead of "junior?" Can we continue to prosper, if the GOP uses the US Constitution as toilet paper for another four years?
