ORIGINAL: playfulotter 2) They say they live in a state like Texas but aren't there right now but are working as an engineer in a foreign country I agree with most of these - but this one is inaccuate. I actually DO live in Texas, and while I dont practice engineering, travel extensively. I have engineer friends who dont know from day to day what continent they will be waking up on. Particularly if someone works for KBR, Halliburton, an oil company, or an oilfield tool, supply or services company they could be anywhere. However, they will write like Americans not in broken gibberish and will likely acidentally throw in industry jargon. Ya'll can tell real Texans! Plus they will talk proudly of their state. Ill be happy to tell anyone about "The Strand" or why ya dont piss in the dunes in Galveston unless ya have a real close female friend with you. or about the catfish in Lake Conroe, why you dont go to Vidor with a non-caucasion friend or associate, why you never piss off Pasadena PD - argue with them, attempt to step out of the car, or let your hands get out of sight... (SERIOUSLY if you ever get pulled over in Stinkadina there are three answers "Sir Yes Sir, Sir No Sir, and Sir, this motorist does not know but will find out for you sir"!!!), why the Downtown Aquarium sucks balls and isnt an Aquarium (Go to Moody Gardens) etc.... The poser texans wont know this all.... As for #3 a lot of Texans actually ARE religious zealots! When I first moved here I mistook a baptist church for a MALL! They are that big!!! Football and George Strait are religions here in Texas and church is the most popular sport. Even the beautiful horny women are "thumpers"... I had a girlfriend (Baptist) have a snit because I bought fudge from a methodist bake sale. LOL Adding to the thread though - LESBIANS LOOKING FOR MEN! Dead give away. Any use of the workd "janga" to describe a dick! A gorgeous female sub with no limits who likes EVERYTHING. (Midget Goats in a Trapeeze, sure!) Anything that sounds "too good to be true"....
