Trent Reznor has today released the brand new full length NIN album, called The Slip.

Go to www.nin.com and you can download it for free - as Treny says there, this one's on him as thanks to the NIN fans for their support over the years.

Hmm. Okay, I downloaded the album to a zip file on my desktop, but I can't burn it to CD? Anyone have any suggestions? Helpful ones, preferably. [:D]

This album rocks! I am impressed with the hi-res audio version. I didn't think, given the nature of Trent's electronic instruments and purposeful distortion, that the high resolution format would make much difference. It does. :-)

Hey Level, did you get your CD burned?

It's... actually not bad.  Certainly a lot better than With Teeth.

I haven't really gotten excited about a NIN album since The Downward Spiral, but I might actually buy the hard copy of this one.

Trent Reznor... mmm.  I'd love to tie him up and nibble on him.

Level - I had to actually unzip the package to another directory before I could burn it, but then it worked fine.

I have to say I'm quite impressed. On first listening I was transported back to the days of Broken/Fixed, but after a few plays now it seems to be a strange, but beautiful, amalgam of With Teeth, yearzero, and The Fragile. I'm particularly loving Discipline and Echoplex.

Being a collector I'll also pick up the physical CD when it comes out, and should hopefully have my collectors edition of Ghosts dropping through the letterbox any day now [:D]

Kudos to Reznor for making this not only free, but also Creative Commons, which means that you can give copies to everyone you know!

Yep [:D] When I first tried, WMP told me it couldn't find the file, but I thought I had placed the songs in my Library. I just went back and reopened the zip file, and it allowed it to work fine.

I feel like a nimwit cause I havent heard this artist. I love music so now I have someone new to explore. Thanks

side note: The B52's recently came out with their first album since Cosmic Thing called Funplex. Its great and fun as they have always been.
