Dommstr49 -> Disabled Masters/Mistresses (5/3/2008 10:39:36 AM)

I want to know if there are other disabled Masters and Mistresses on this site.  How you went about finding your sub/slave, was it on this site, another site or off line?

chamberqueen -> RE: Disabled Masters/Mistresses (5/3/2008 2:47:06 PM)

I consider myself "handicapable".  I have a handicap, though slight compared to some.  I walk with a limp and have had numerous back surgeries.  I've had spinal cord damage and over the years it has made one leg look different from the other.

I am a switch.  My subs never seemed to notice the problem at all, other than I had to tell them that I cannot wear high heels.  My Master knows of my problems and has seen my scars (I have a beauty of one running from my taint to my waist in back) but He has never mentioned it.  He treats me just like He would anyone else.  If we are walking in public He simply slows His pace a bit so that we can walk together.  (I also met Him on CM).

I have spent time in a wheelchair, and I know that people tend to treat you differently.  My best friends couldn't look me in the face but over my head or at the floor in front of me.  I have purposely made a point of looking other wheelchair user's in the face since that time.  I believe that someone with a handicap that would force them to use one could still be an excellent sub or Dom/me; just in a different fashion.

RippedTwisted2 -> RE: Disabled Masters/Mistresses (5/3/2008 5:44:26 PM)

My Master and I are both disabled and both dominant (him always, and myself with other women).  We found each other in r/l (only I was disabled at that time).  My husband/Master became disabled in 2001, and in 2004, we began looking for poly & playmates.  We have found some in r/l, some here, some at other sites & some through things like Y!360 and such.

Rayne58 -> RE: Disabled Masters/Mistresses (5/3/2008 8:18:14 PM)

My Sir is chronically ill with renal failure and is on dialysis.  We met online at another site in 2002. Neither of us were looking for a relationship, and I was a total newbie to D/s.

We have been together now for 4 1/2 years and have been married for 18 months [:)]

Samii -> RE: Disabled Masters/Mistresses (5/3/2008 9:39:41 PM)

I am disabled also I was born with dwarfism I have bad legs, Do to that I am heavyset and I use a amigo to get around I do walk around in My house tho. I dont let My disability stop My life!!

My friends/family dont look at Me with a disability and I love them for that.
I have not yet found the right sub yet but soon I hope to.

I was wondering why you asked the question are you disabled?

IronBear -> RE: Disabled Masters/Mistresses (5/4/2008 1:52:31 AM)

I have several disabilities mostly due in the long run to combat injuries and living life like there is no tomorrow. Only found out I wasn't bullet proof anymore a few years ago  lol....

I have disabilities and I turn 63 this year. I am NOT bloody well disabled even when I am in need of a wheel chair. Mind and most of my body works well and I refuse to be treated or live like a bloody cripple.... I am what and who I am. People will either like.dislike, love/hate me no matter what disabi;lities I have.. That is life.

Phoenix2raven -> RE: Disabled Masters/Mistresses (5/4/2008 5:55:29 AM)

I have 2 herniated disks and nerve damage amongst several other disabling things. My submissive has Fibromyalgia and CFIDS. We met through a friend offline. As for how I go about looking for a submissive. I didn't look online simply because the HNG's, trolls,wanna b's and the uberdoms have ruined it for the most part. Not to mention I'd rather spend 2hours talking real time than to some f -tard who thinks it's fun to play around with people on the internet for some bizarre reason. Thats been my experience sorry if it sounds harsh or if it doesn't give you much hope. I do have to say that I've heard and seen people who connected online but they are a exception to the rule. Good luck

BlackPhx -> RE: Disabled Masters/Mistresses (5/4/2008 6:15:16 AM)

We meet each other in all sorts of places online and off. The operative word however is meet. No matter what differences you have from everyone else. remember they may also be dealing with some and shy about them.

Master is healthy thanks the powers that be, but he has his differences to over come.. I have more than enough for both of us. I am a sado-masochist and a switch and never had anyone back away because I have physical challenges or even personality differences on either side of the fence. One friend of mine is an amputee and finds his chair no handicap in handling his slave, though it is a challenge from tiime to time when she is hung up like a pinata.

Don't be shy and don't worry about any physical challenge you have. For every pot there is a top and the right pet for you won't even notice a problem, she/he will only notice the creativity and matching needs you have.

I'm a disabled sub and have always held the view that if it bothers you THAT much, don't get involved with me.  To that end,  I recently was collared and am happy to be His minx.  If the respect is there, disability of one or the other becomes a non-issue.

<Fans self.>  IronBear, i find You incredibly sexy...i always have.  <Apologies to Neets.>

i agree with You -- N/no O/one is 'disabled' if T/they choose not to see T/themselves like that.  It has nothing to do with O/one's physicality.

Now....about that trip across the pond You mentioned......

Disabled dominant here, too...  I've meet my partners all the heck over, both before and after the health issues have come into being.  I tend to just keep myself open to people, in general, whether it's meeting folks in person or online anywhere and let what develops, develop.

figment -> RE: Disabled Masters/Mistresses (6/12/2008 8:43:08 AM)

In New Zealand the politically correct term is *differently abled*

Not that I am particularly PC, but it would piss me off walking (wheeling lol) around with a label like that.

IvyMorgan -> RE: Disabled Masters/Mistresses (6/12/2008 8:53:35 AM)

Being disabled/chronically ill hasn't stopped my kinky side.  Either the dom or sub one.  Sometimes there are issues, but people I play with know about them, and we work it in.  I'm just as "whatever it is I am" regardless.

i prefer the word "gimp".  as in when miss satan was pushing me in the wheelchair and said (loudly, in public)  "shut up, gimpy, or i'm pushing you into the street again!!"  [sm=boohoo.gif]

(that would be my adult daughter.  she's a riot.)

Skully7000 -> RE: Disabled Masters/Mistresses (6/12/2008 12:43:56 PM)

I know several physically limited Dom/mes who have quite healthy subs taking care of them... and they love their dom/mes whole heartedly and greedily welcome every chance to service them in whatever way possible.

the biggest thing I have found in this lifestyle is that just about everything is possible. keep  your head up and keep working towards your goals.
Cheers

PanthersMom -> RE: Disabled Masters/Mistresses (6/12/2008 3:14:57 PM)

we're people first.  we are people with disabilities, not disabilities with people.  you are only limited by what you choose to let limit you.  we're only here for a short while, might as well enjoy it as best we can, whatever our circumatances.

calicowgirl -> RE: Disabled Masters/Mistresses (6/14/2008 9:37:56 AM)

One of the greatest scenes I've ever had the pleasure to watch was between a gay couple where the Dom was blind. The energy they shared between one another was absolutely fabulous!

Everyone is a TAB... Temporarily Able Bodied.    When I collared my slave 12 years ago, I was still ambulatory.  As time has gone on, my MS has developed to power chair level.  I released him a couple months ago because of it.    There just comes a time you need to let things go and move on with the next stage of your life.

i say BRAVO for you chamberqueen...on this point there are too many 'invisible' ppl in the world...i strive to look them in the eyes if for no other reason than to acknowledge their existance.....=)

as for the handicapped, it is something i worry about as a sub too...i have fibromyalgia combined with complicatios from auto accidents and have no idea how that will affect the sex plays i am intereted in trying. but i do know this, i wont let it get me down and i will keep searching until i find a Dom/Master who will understand and find creative ways to work with me..

thank you Dommst49 for bringing this up for discussion

lifting you on eagles wings
