I do hope this Dimitris Lambrou is prepared for the enormous backlash; ie tens of thousands descending on Lesbos in protest at this dire threat to the womyn struggle and all that.

Or maybe, what with Sterling being what it is and Greek tourism suffering for 08, thats the whole intention? And most of them lesbians have a lot of money that them Lesbians could do with.

Anyone fancy going halves on a women only tattoo parlour on Lesbos for this summer?

I understand why they're angry but...there isn't much they can do. The term "lesbian" is a world wide term now, like gay. Gay means happy but now if anyone ever says it they automatically think homosexual. But language and words change, just how things go.

I guess I got too much time on my hands literally. I am off today and I don't want anyone to know I got up before noon on a day off so here I am.

This is from wiki :

"The earliest known written references to same-sex love between women are attributed to Sappho (the eponym of sapphism), who lived on the island of Lesbos in ancient Greece from about 625 to 570 BCE and wrote poems which apparently expressed her sexual attraction to other females"

This after wondering just how the word came about. Sounds to me like the Lesbonians don't have much of a case.

Of course that doesn't explain anything else. Dykes used to mean wire cutters, fag used to mean a cigarette and gay used to mean happy.
