Dnomyar -> Not a Pity post. (4/30/2008 10:45:26 AM)

Ok this is not a pity, poor me, help me becaue I won't help myself,a Dom/Domme won't let me throw myself at their feet,The Pro Domme won't take my money, everyone on here calls me a dork post. I want to know. What makes you smile when you come into these forums.

OmegaG -> RE: Not a Pity post. (4/30/2008 10:52:39 AM)

I actually love your one liners and you picture is adorable.

I smile at lubegirl's exuberance, I smile when I see an LA hyperlink post, I smile at GreedyTop's flirting, I'd smile at Jefff's posts if he wasn't conspiculously abscent.  I love Subtee's wit that seems to have rubbed of on others, I smile at Leatherists suscinctness(sp) and SteelofUtah's verbosity.  the.dark and beth's gentle nature makes me smile as well as Merc and SimplyMichael's caustic replies.

And I laugh at the way y'all chase after CaliChick.

*disclaimer* I have failed to mention other moments, due to time constraints, lack of gray matter and space on the boards.... I think that everyone has contributed something that has made me smile.

Oh, and success stories, the real ones-- like BossyShoeBitch and Michael's dance.

People who don't take themselves and their position on whatever side of the slash too seriously. They answer serious questions with the courtesy and seriousness they deserve, but they can 'romp' and have fun when the occasion calls for it.

Also, emotional support of one another - hugs, smooches, and compliments.

And even the occasional time when a thread is getting too serious for its own good, and someone injects the leavening of levity.

pip, warm fuzzies make me smile, too

People who have public humiliation kinks.  Far and away those are my favorites.

Oh. And I can't Forget Aileen's new Avatar and Photoshoot in her profile I must admit I have perved it a few times. Even andi says she could stay for a few weeks if she needed a place to stay sans clothing.

Sadly, it's all an act Omega.  I walk as slowly as I can (to give them time to catch me) and my inbox is still, sadly, achingly, empty.  Sigh.

I smile at the people who take themselves way too seriously.  And I smile at those who cut thru the crap and get right to the point.

Cali

Seeing those I consider my friends posting, those that I respect here, seeing those that make me laugh, and all the great posts... And the ridiculous ones. [:)]

So they are all fakers?  Tsk, tsk, tsk.

FWIW, I concure with everyone elses posts as well.

spinninsweetness -> RE: Not a Pity post. (4/30/2008 11:12:44 AM)

I smile at those who take themselves too seriously too....

Also those who dont! Those who can break up a far to deep topic with a well-placed, tactful comment, a skill I lack.

I am glad that the ammount of words that I use makes you smile.

Never saw that as a Positive before, I know I am long winded but you gotta admit when I am done with a topic very few people can misunderstand what I am trying to say right?

I smile when I see something written so much more concisely and eloquently that I could have said it (that happens a lot).  I smile when I feel that a person is speaking from their heart. I smile when I see that a person recognises that it is more than ok to have a sense of humour.  I especially smile when I see posts such as this one which reminds us to acknowledge and celebrate the good stuff.

OmegaG -> RE: Not a Pity post. (4/30/2008 11:28:18 AM)

FR

and it makes me smile that everyone else but me could figure out how to answer this without dredging up names to spotlight and others to forget.

DiurnalVampire -> RE: Not a Pity post. (4/30/2008 11:37:12 AM)

I never fail to smile at the snarky TWUE posting that the regulars get into when someone gets them going.
I smile at the enthusiasm of a lot of the newcomers who seem so hyped to jump in with both feet, even if they havent a clue what they are getting into.
The funny stories of all the wierd emails we get (the ful moon cant even be blamed for most of them)
I also smile reading all the comments back and forth between the couples and families when they are on the forums and agreeing on the same topics, and the little flirty commentaries back and forth. The success stories are always nice.

....i always smile at the courteous posts.......the ones where someone disagrees with you, but doesn't make it personal.

LaTigresse -> RE: Not a Pity post. (4/30/2008 11:45:44 AM)

I smile most at Domi's and Ron's posts. Jefff aka Ward..........bahhhhhhhh on him........ He left me at the alter!!!!

Yes...he really has that "Ben Franklin thing" going...can't you just imagine him with the founding fathers' hair....and a 1776 style coat? :)

OK...what makes me smile here? Well...the nice notes from people that come across the email after I put up a post that people were in some way moved by. I can say that I have never had a single email that was over the top with anger or disrespect, even when people disagreed with me. Add in the positive notes that come in from things people liked reading, unlike many forums in various places, the people here are....generally nice to deal with.
