Now BUSH on the other hand last friday said that we're just in a "slowdown and we shouldn't be thinking of getting out of "Nafta!"

The Oracle of Omaha? Pfffft. WTF does he know? I've been predicting a major recession/depression (not here, elsewhere) for over two years. I've said we've been in a recession for a year now. But WTF do I know? I haven't had a real job in 14 years.

When the manufacturing base erodes and the trade deficit increases, the dollar drops, who is surprised?? Even Nigeria is complaining that all of their goods are being made in China!!!

OH, it is the presidents fault?? Aren't all spending bills originated in the House of Representatives???

I think 2007 core inflation rate was 2.1%. [even tho PA lawmakers got 3.5% cola]

I think I am glad a cheap grocery store opened nearby. I got a cart of groceries for $40. [no joke]

I think large autos will be obsolete in a few years.

IMO the average guy has long had to pinch pennies. So will this guy fare better??

I think we will see a spike in crime.

I think the planet is over-populated.

I think plastic fades, turns yellow and brittles.

I think this is happening due to a downward pressure on wages, not the housing mess!

I think if a democrat wins- the dollar will stablize- but only a plan to balance the budget will do the trick.

I think I need a makeover, a massuese, a handyman, a maid, a chef, and party planner. :-)

How can they expect people to keep buying things if their wages are going down?
It's a big circle and if you remove that part of the circle then it's not going to keep going round and round anymore, is it?
