Okay, someone tell me this is a brand new feature here.
 
I just noticed each of the forums now has the "click to enter that topic" chatroom feature.
 
What will the creators here think of next?

So who has used the feature and what do you think of it?

I noticed it seems to be in each of the forums, interesting!

Every time I go in there, noone is in them.  It connects with the chat area and a room is created with that subject.

Chat has always been here, just more ways to enter it now, and get it more delineated according to subject, shrugs.

edited to add: personally its probably not somewhere I will be very often just curious to see how well it works.

I still cant get in, it says my applet failed to load, I want in, whine pout and a dommly stomp(snort) Im gonna fiddle with it some more.

K, does anyone know what "Applet jchat notinited" means? and no I didnt mispell it.
When I click in th applet itself (big red X up in the top left corner) it says "Loading Java AppletFailed"
I think I should try java.com...sorry dont mind me...

Well it worked for me - even though I don't have a profile on the other side. Logged me in as a "Guest" user. But nobody came to say "hi".

Also, in addition to the security settings in your browser/firewall/security, make sure you have java enabled in the add on portion of your browser or it wont matter you wont get on.(took me a bit to figure that out, lol)

Yeah the click to enter the [name of forum] chatroom link at the top of any page on the forums seems to be new as of today, at least, I didn't see it earlier today....

Nobody seems to be in them right now, but, hey... it's a good excuse to leave some more tabs open in X-Chat, not like I don't already have a few different chats open anyway.

...

Of course if people come in and leave only a few seconds later, instead of hanging around and waiting for more people to show up, or at least to see if someone who's in there (well, I suppose if it's only one person it's more understandable, but) responds... See if or, at least, give enough time for someone to notice and then respond... In any case people coming into chats and leaving one second later has always bothered me, but, fnord....

Actually I never finished my point... if people come in and leave a few seconds later without waiting for more people, to form a chat, it's less likely a chat will actually form... But really I'm sure it's a matter of time since these particular rooms are new.

the chats all at a certain time.
This feature could become very interesting, as more people begin to use it on both sides.
 
Eventually, I think this feature will cause more people from the other side to start posting on the boards.

Either you get people to "plan" to be in there at a specific time.... Or you just say hey, everyone get in the chat right now......

Or you get a bunch of people (like myself) who just leave it open 100% of the time.

Or all of the above.

Oh, I am scared, some people scare me enough on the boards.
I have always popped in and out of the chat rooms here, for years.
