the type of pain where no matter how body is positioned there is pain, so shifts to least painful position but the motion alone is painful.

I apparently was too gung ho -in the yard with patio block.

I went to Chiropractor Friday, minimal relief.

I hope this is not a return to the past. I just had to re-injure the spine.  It is hell. In fact- living back pain IS a taste of hell.  Not fun.

I am concerned that it does not dissipate.

Codeine based pain pills, flexeril a muscle relaxer, ibuprofen does little.

I should not have taken ease of motion for granted.  I hope I am not returning to the past.  [I have 4 herniated disks, a shoulder injury and carpal  tunnel in both hands]

anyhow- maybe my thinking is clouded and I cant think of what would help it.

In a way a cortisone shot might help- but going thru the red tape is something I dont want to do.

--another day in paradise.  blah!

I once asked my surgeon about my back pain... "when will I know when to get the surgery?" He said and it is the truth..." You will know"...If your back hurts bad enough you will go through the red tape. Sad but so the shots did nothing for me but the surgery did...at least for the pain.

I've been there for a hip... a toe ...one knee and a shoulder... and a l4 l5 disk. Maybe you have already had surgery...if so remember the surgery is to relieve pain..not to repair and allow you to return to normal activity. My normal activity was road construction.

I was told...my back will never be as strong as before the surgery.

No. I havent had surgery on the back.

It did improve for a year or so.

Maybe a few weeks with the chiropractor will fix it.  He is a smart man.  He doesnt over-adjust.

At the time of the pain, I could not see light at end of tunnel.   But it did heal.

There is a sort of contempt for people with back pain.   Like it is faked, a ploy to get  Rxs.   True that there are cons.  The meds mask the pain and put one in a stupor.  I wish I could get accupuncture.

Christine thank you hun.

I took  another flexeril.  [muscle relaxer]  it has helped a tad.

meanwhile- i almost have to be healed by Monday as 2 guys are helping me with windows.  i have cancelled yet.

--trouble in paradise.  the one neighbor places a bike chain lock on gate to another neighbors fence gate.  so then he [the owner] removed the gate completely. One she noticed this she actually called the police;  they told her it was a civil matter.   This is relevant- in the regard that- every little code infraction will be 'reported".  So that means I have to keep the place in order.  As it is the code guy was by a few weeks ago- saying I needed a permit; which I HAVE displayed in the window.  arghh.   unless you LOOK crippled it is assumed a person can lift and clean and move junk.

The one who locked a gate that did not belong to her had some gall.  All she had to do was ask- and it would have been ok.
