ORIGINAL: TJsCheekypet I think in British society *even today* men still find certain emotions hard & therefore the 'its the British stiff upper lip' thing comes to mind. Englishmen don't cry. You could hack indiscriminately at an Englishman's knackers with a scythe and the response will deviate between......"that was nice, dear, would you like a cup of tea and a biscuit?" and "this sort of behaviour disappoints me no end". Tony Blair cried on his last day in Parliament when he received a standing ovation....if that helps any........ We are a bit different, I suppose. From what I can gather, psychiatry is big in the US...some of them have two in the event one has a day off.......over here, when we're pissed off we tend to go to the pub and have a beer with our mates......
