According to NPR, Obama did poorly with the uneducated whites.

Yep. Because he insulted them a week ago with the "bitter" comment. When you start insulting large demographics....you tend to lose votes.

Maybe this is why Obama doesnt answer tough questions. He's better off keeping his mouth shut.

You buy into all of the shit that you have been told...Are you capable of thinking for yourself?

Just for the sake of argument...Instead of the "bitter comment," Let's say that Obama gave a speech in which he stated how much affection and pride he held for white trash america.....How many uneducated whites would have voted for him?

Oh...The answer would still be for some unknown reason virtually none. Please get your head out of your hiney and point it straight into the tube at FOX news where it belongs.

So now everyone in America who lives in rural areas, owns a gun, and is religious considered white trash?

You see, this is the problem with you Obama people. You are the ones who are bitter. You guys constantly look down on people.

Ya know....(and assuming Hillary isn't a reader of CM, I doubt my post will have any bearing on the election)....Hillary would make SUBSTANTIAL headway if she (and Barrack...sp?) quit complaining about each other...and started attacking and comparing platforms to McClain.

Regardless of who in the Hillary/Barrack battle...wins...the winner is going up against McCain.

Seems to me, the most "Presidential" thing either could do is...start acting like someone aiming for the Presidency.

(And less for each other).

Well, pretty soon it will be McCain v. Obama.

He's got NC won and IND is a tossup. Hillary cannot win by breaking even at this point.

Think she'll make a passable VP do ya?

Anyway, that was the lastest on CNN last night (Anderson Cooper's show), they speculated that she will say "yes" to that offer, if for no other reason than to get out of the Senate, do something different.

You know...I live in PA. Obama's remark wasn't wrong, it was brutally honest. There are a lot of rednecks here who drive around with gun racks and confederate flag stickers on their pickups blaming the economic woes on liberals, foreigners and athiests. They bemoan the loss of God in schools, pointing out how "things started going wrong when they took prayer out of school" as if that singular thing is to blame for everything.

I dislike that a politician who doesn't mince words is slammed for daring to offend someone rather than trying to pander to every possible group of voters.

edited to add a bit.

No one is blaming foreigners for economic woes.... people are blaming ILLEGAL immigrants. And yes there is a legit argument in that.

And dont try to bring up racism. 97% of blacks in Pennsylvania voted for Obama. That's racism right there. So this racism debate is legit on all angles pretty much.

Everyone is staying with their ingroup.

The electorate shouldn't have a say in who the candidate for the election should be: it should be up to the party to choose its candidate.

It's bordering on insane that voters that are going to vote Republican in November have a say in who the Democrat candidate should be.

The Dem's have been switching sides for years, they just didn't have a radio personality bragging about it on a nationally broad casted show.

p.s. How do you think McCain got nominated? Have you seen one "conservative" on here who actually feels he's the nominee?

You do realise that Hillary has won every battleground state over Obama, and the states Obama won are going to vote for McCain in the general election, don't you?

I swear we should just change Barack's name to Mace Windu
