The Air Force essentially said, "It wasn't one of ours."

Hahaha.  I had spiked hair in the 80's.  It was not a good look for me.

The one I saw was a large, extremely bright metallic disc that had the ability to hover perfectly still then move seemingly at light speed to a new location. I saw it hover, move, hover, move, and repeat that again, three times in all. It moved so fast that all I could see was a tracer of it until it stopped again.

Then it shot off over the hills behind it. It was big enough and low enough, close, bright and fast enough that it really scared me.

I'll never forget it.

I have experienced a huge spaceship passing overhead at a distance of less than eight metres, at walking pace velocity about thirty years ago. No obvious means of propulsion, silent except for the music. It was approximately 120 to 240 metres in length, manmade. I guess that Earth builds them larger these days.

MadameTakhisis -> RE: Mystery lights reported over Phoenix (4/22/2008 8:22:07 PM)

Heartcream, the book you are thinking of is "Behold A Pale Horse" by William Cooper. In it he spoke of these days now where we would see them more frequently both aliens and ours.

It's a good thing we can always depend upon the PTB and their operatives to tell the sheeple the truth.

As the future encroaches upon us--watch what happens. If anyone read that book by the ex CIA guy, To Ride a Pale Horse, I think the title was, we will be seeing more of this sort of thing. In my opinion, there are 'good' extraterrestrials and there are 'bad' ones. The bad ones made a trade for water and drunks and stuff to get magnetic energy in exchange for space ship technology. (think Roswell) Folks will see space ships and think, it is from another dimension, ie; outerspace but in fact it is the US government building the craft. They have been working on this and planning it for yonks.

Yeah I know hoards of folks say this is shite and a conspiracy theory. Que sera sera huh?

My guess is that the great majority of UFOs are not extraterrestrial at all. But the technology to build them likely came from recovered extraterrestrial craft.

At the end of the eighties I was on Westminster Bridge (Central London for none Brits) and along with hundreds of other Londoners saw a UFO floating above central London in the day time. It looked about 50 foot long and it appeared to float, then zoom sidewards and then suddenly shoot upwards and away. The whole episode took about thirty to forty seconds. It was quite remarkable and for a few hours I really believed in UFOs and little green men.

Then the sighting was reported on TV news that night, the UFO had been caught on quite a few cameras and the UFO was recognized as Space debris and the videos were perfectly clear and the UFO wasn't 50 foot long but around 8 foot. It was a piece of a satilite cover and the sun's reflection was causing an optical illusion and really, there wasn't anything to gauge its size by anyway. The UFO sighting was well and truely demolished, only the willfully gullible could remain convinced it was a UFO.

Pity, I really enjoyed the couple of hours of believing in aliens and UFOs.

It looked solid and it looked like it was being controled, I would have put money on it being some sort of aircraft. It was only when the video recordings were shown frame by frame and a filter used and then compared to the part of the satilite it was claimed to be, did I eventually admit to myself I hadn't seen an aircraft but a piece of junk.

So it was in orbit at say one hundred kilometres up? The sideward zoom is a bit odd.

Sorry, I am not criticising you as to what you saw, but I try to er on the side of physics before the fantastic.

I have seen something myself over the Somerset Levels, something I have tried  to explain via the human science I know, but nothing as of yet holds true, so I keep an open mind.
