KaineD -> Electricity safety (4/21/2008 6:22:29 AM)

I wanna try out elecricity play at some point and obviously I wanted to know how to do this safely.  You guys know of any links or anything that could talk you through it?  I wanna grab a taser and zap away at someone but don't think that's the best approach!

All I can say is try to avoid having bare feet in wet grass around an electric fence. If you have not avoided the above, it is best to NOT grab a metal fence post to steady yourself during mid zap.

My suggestion is you tazer yourself first to see how it feels.  THEN you might have something to work on.
</sarcasm> Just to make sure.

The fun you can have with a continuity tester, if you hold onto the electrodes you can actually hear humming in your head and your arms go a bit stiff but that's just a side effect.[8|]

Dnomyar -> RE: Electricity safety (4/21/2008 8:10:07 AM)

Ignore the sarcasum on here. The best way is to put your finger in a light socket. Find one with a 40 watt bulb in it so you won't feel as much.

Leatherist -> RE: Electricity safety (4/21/2008 8:18:10 AM)

Running large amounts of electricity through the heart or brain is generally frowned on. Even lesser amounts seem to have unfortunate side effects.

DaggerDom -> RE: Electricity safety (4/21/2008 11:42:40 AM)

It used to be that I would scare people with my cattle prod but now everyone in the dungeon has a stun gun of some kind or other.

First rule, forget all the stupid rules.  It is perfectly safe to use a taser above the waist with the vast vast vast majority of people.  They are designed to be used there.  It is best to use very short shocks rather than holding the switch down.  Remember, this is a self-defense weapon and it is called a stun gun for a reason.

The fleshier part of the anatomy, the more effective the shock.

Secure binding, a good gag and blindfold make this much better.  Some nerve endings cause sponataneous movement and you do not want to be accidentally kicked in the head.

Oh, and one other thing.  Once you have the sub tied down, don't shock her right away, make her wait for it.

check out the violet (violent) wands. They use static electricity and are (reportedly) safer than using the finger in the light socket.
Something else you can try is the electric bug zapper paddles. they look like little tennis rackets, and while making bugs explode, don't have quite that violent a reaction with human flesh.

Something i as a sub/slave enjoy is that Sir occasionally gets zapped himself when using the violent wand on me .   I dislike electrical play , so  electricity is close to a hard  limit for me. [:)]

christine1 -> RE: Electricity safety (4/21/2008 2:02:36 PM)

does electrical play feel like sticking your finger in a light socket geesh, i hate that feeling!   and i have to admit, the visual of some dom getting inadvertantly kicked by his sub becuase he zapped her just makes me chuckle.

Just my thoughts on the subject....don't do it to a cop.

(I'm just saying....)

Alumbrado -> RE: Electricity safety (4/21/2008 4:57:53 PM)

At least don't stick around after to see if they liked it...

KCherry -> RE: Electricity safety (4/21/2008 5:28:18 PM)

Or you could start with a tens unit on a low setting of one or two and work your way up to 10.

MzHard -> RE: Electricity safety (4/21/2008 8:16:31 PM)

I dunno about sarcasm
I actually practice that in my kink...If I havent done it myself
I wont do it to another.

You've got to know what you are doing
how it feels
how the body reacts, etc

If youre not willing to have it done to you
how can you reasonably do it to another

http://sirdaleandthor.com  Check their calendar and see if you can catch one of their demos.  They use tazers, an electric chair, truck batteries & jumper cables etc.

DDraigeuraid -> RE: Electricity safety (4/21/2008 10:41:55 PM)

Learn as much as you can, and use the implements on yourself first.  They can range from a mild zap with a bugzapper (a bit more effective if the sub is fresh out of the shower, etc) to extremly painful or even burns, and it can kill someone.  Tread very carefully.  Make sure you know of any medical problems that electrical play could trigger.

Seeing an english sheep dog pissing on an electric fence was...amazing.
