I started drinking soy milk (yummmmm) about a decade ago because I can't stand the taste or mouth-feel of cow milk. It was hard to start but since I love cereal I stuck with it and came to genuinely love it. Soy cheese I don't like, but tofu I do. My favorite brand for soy milk is Silk, they make vanilla (and a light version), unflavored and choccy. They also make coffee creamer and yogurt. Unfortunately soy isn't something good for me after all that work to like it. It messes with my auto-immune system and I've cut back to about half a gallon per week ( I need dat Kashi cereal!). Now that cow milk is actually better for me, I just can't freaking stand it. Cheese, ice cream and all that other stuff is fine, but cow milk is a hard limit for me.
