I haven't had a truly usable kitchen in the better part of a year. I think I would even clean an oven (gasp!) at this point to get one. And get rid of my roommate.

there is no worse job

Yes there is. Cleaning a walkin cooler after an extended power outage. Cleaning ovens is oddly not a big thing to me. Cleaning my fish tanks or refridgerator........hate them.

A really good form of torture would be making somebody stand in line at wal-mart for hours on end during the holidays.

I'd rather clean the oven than change yet another diaper, I put tinfoil in the bottom of mine so cleaning is easy.

The joys of rental accomodation

try puting  an oven proof  bowl of  hot water in the oven and turn it on for about 20 mins  on lowish.... then about 20 mins or more on high .... will  help get rid of the left over chemicals ...

Such cleaning is a hard limit of mine *grins*  thus why I have house keepers ....

What sort of bribary does the Oven fairy need?I am willing...

Time to clean oven: 4 hours
Time to clean ENTIRE bathroom: 20 minutes

You have my sympathies.  I think the oven is the worst, too.  The smell and fumes of the cleaner are horrible, and the angles just stink.  Glad you got it done.  I hope you do something to pamper yourself!

I agree. Which is yet another reason, I love online shopping.

WHAT?!?!?!  You mean I can't call on you to go shopping the day after Thanksgiving with me?

Now who will help me move the cherished sale items and re-distribute them thru the store?  Who will help me put out of order signs on all the bathroom stalls?  Who will move all the wet floor signs to the carpeted areas with me?

No one to share the holiday bliss with haven

Big hug for you!

And if it was that sort of fun, and no actual shopping required........I am all in!
