Why would anyone pay? Hasn't everyone already seen it?

Soon enough, every member of the "Millenial Brat-Pack" will have to slobber on a crank or two just to make ends meet!!  Isn't it all just horrible and exhilarating at the same time!!  With no artistic credibility or perceived social relevance, these twenty-something starlets will have to pull every cheap trick out the closet: Britney's Bukkake Fest......Paris Hilton's Anal Slideshow......Nicole Ritchie's Golden Shower Adventure !

Maybe..... and just maybe............one or two of these wretched creatures might have a spiritual revelation after hitting rock-bottom.  If God can bless transform an abject sinner like Saul of Tarsus into a fine Christian, I'm sure that there's hope, even for these girls.

That's a very troubled young woman you guys want to roast here. There's a good chance that she was pushed into the Hollywood scene long before she was old enough to make her own choices.

Don't be drooling vultures, waiting for her to fall and die.

That's my take on things. YMMV.

As a mother of a son about the same age, I can't help but feel sad for her. It's hard enough being young and working out who we are without papparazzi following you everywhere and drugs and alcohol being stuffed down your throat or up your nose every time you see anyone.

My thoughts are that both she and Britney had pushy stage mothers who did a crap job of making sure their daughters knew the rights and wrongs of life and ensuring that they were in a good place mentally, because too much money was being poured into the bank accounts.

They both need help and guidance from someone who isn't more intent on getting his/her trotters in the money trough. Obviously their parents aren't capable of doing that, otherwise both would have had help long before it came to this.

Well, I really don't know the details of this troubled woman's rise to stardom, but I suspect that you may be right about the parent's influence.

I don't find it funny at all to witness the demise of a young girl due to drugs.  Many of us here have been first hand witnesses to addiction in our families.  She's only 21, which means in her teens, she was an addict with tons of money being thrown at her - a recipe for disaster.  And if no one was looking out for her well being as a teen, is it any surprise she is messed up now?

I'm always strangely curious about those who enjoy laughing at someone's ruin.

It seems like an act of "relative righteousness" when the collective public deems some folks to be worthy of sympathy because of "troubled pasts", while it simultaneously creates pariahs out of others because of the perceived "severity" of their acts.

For example, that argument would sort of run along these lines: Persons A and B are both the by-products of troubled, abusive, upbringings.  Now, Person A's "so-called" transgressions (vices) are perceived to be more severe in nature........thus, public sympathy will be inversely proportionate  to the perceived severity of the offense.

Let any of these starlets commit what "John Q. Public" might deem to be a SERIOUS offense, and watch public sympathy sway from "poor Britney" to "hang her high!!!"

In all actuality, you're correct in your assertion  that none of us have the moral right to "cast stones", subfever, but all of us are collectively guilty of worse things than feeling a little bit of giddy joy at seeing Lindsay Lohan's nubile girl-skin exposed on the silver screen.

Seems like a positive approach on her part to move from whatever troubles she has had. The fact that she is prepared to bare all because she thinks the role needs it rather than just to make money out of her looks is to be commended. She has read the script to this film whereas we haven’t. The fact it is a low budget film might not have any effect on what kind of reception it will receive at the box office. It’s kind of nice to know that an actor can still fall in love with a role rather than just taking the 'how much am I going to get out of it' approach.

Well, hopefully she's being sincere, and not trying to rationalize things to make it seem like a "legit" career move instead of a last, deperate battle-charge towards cheap publicity.

By the way.....I just noticed that my argument in this thread was pretty much made null and void by the final paragraph.  God, I hate it when I defeat my own logic.

is it the parents fault she took drugs? NO...it was her choice to take those drugs. she is the reason her star dom has taken a big dive.  it doesnt matter what age she is either.  it matters that it was her choice to do said things that have ruined her career.  she is not the only child star that has done this.  in fact it is quite common.

atleast she has not got pregnant(to my knowledge) like some other child stars...cough...britney...and even her 16 yr old sister....  which i think is the worst thing to happen.

i used to like her alot...when i first saw mean girls.  after that her problems started to rise.  note i said "her" problems.  not her parents problems...

it makes me sick to think of all the young girls out there trying  to figure out who they are when this is what they have for an example.  these female stars are out there making asses of themselves and people make a big deal out of it instead of ignoring them for their behavior.  it's no wonder kids are so screwed up these days, all the mixed messages they get.  nobody forces these young people, male or female, to behave badly, they just have nobody telling them it's ok not to act like an ass.  they go with the flow and some hot shot makes a mint off selling tabloids showing off their latest shame.  if we didn't go nuts over this kind of crap, if we refused to accept this garbage they call fame, i don't see how it could continue.  i don't go see movies in the theater, i don't buy tabloids, i don't read people magazine or watch the "entertainment" shows and garbage like that for a reason.  it makes me ill to see what people are willing to do for "fame".  i'm really shocked it's taken lindsey this long to decide to strip down, i expected this the minute she turned 18.  am i cynical?  no, just realistic.
