for when we do stupid shit and become homeless

chamberqueen -> RE: there needs to be a subbie hotline (4/11/2008 9:23:48 AM)

Ouch.  Are you going to be ok?

beargonewild -> RE: there needs to be a subbie hotline (4/11/2008 9:24:56 AM)

Seems to me this is where anyone should have some sort of a safety net. Though this is a perfect opportunity to use as a lesson on life, harsh though it may be.

Dnomyar -> RE: there needs to be a subbie hotline (4/11/2008 10:00:49 AM)

bear sad to say but this is the only way some people can learn.

CalifChick -> RE: there needs to be a subbie hotline (4/11/2008 10:03:57 AM)

Are you venting or looking for help?  Here is help in your city:

St. Vincent Clinic, short term crisis intervention and homeless services.
Salvation Army in your city.
Information on shelters and social services with phone numbers.

Cali

nekoerin,

Not to add injury to insult but what happened?

And I sent you an e-mail on the other side

*** Yeah, Or I could have just done what Cali done ***

Poetryinpain -> RE: there needs to be a subbie hotline (4/11/2008 10:21:22 AM)

Cali, you are so helpful. I hope I can learn to be like that.

OP - I'm sorry you're going through a hard time right now. The forums are a great place to vent and grumble, so long as you don't say anything nasty about a particular person. But to get your feet back under you and find yourself a place to live, please contact the places Cali has found for you.

If you're having problems that you need to discuss with a professional, I'm sure someone here can find a link for you to a kink-aware therapist.

pip, offering [hugs]

Many counties in the U.S. have crisis hotlines and homeless shelters.  I'm guessing if you have a computer and electricity you can look them up on the on-line yellow pages.

HerLord -> RE: there needs to be a subbie hotline (4/11/2008 11:23:21 AM)

Or if it is in fact a situation of needs... she could just use the links Cali was excellent enough to provide... But then maybe Op is now at a point where she cannot access Inet Electric or computer... after the pretense was "homeless". But then... maybe she was just venting...

either way...

Good luck OP. And thanks for taking ownership of your own doing in it. There are those who will help here. Feel free to ask for it. The worst that can happen is to hear "NO". It really isn't a dirty word. So try again.

Peace

That doesn't only happen to subbies, and doesn't only happen when you do something silly.

nekoerin -> RE: there needs to be a subbie hotline (4/11/2008 11:30:58 AM)

indeed i was silly

I guess I am the only one here who raises an eyebrow--ok so for at least the time you posted, there was some kind of roof over your head--your profile says you lack motivation---so that may be the problem for starters, and if its in your profile it isn't a newly discovered failing---I say like D--some people just need to learn and there are just some who don't----I was just chatting with My UM about that--one of her friends was booted out of grandparenst home, moved in with the new pot smoking bf and his pot smoking mom--4 weeks and its a nightmare and she has no money, no job and no way out--

<looks around for the post that said, we should assusme people have common sense> OY

Which is against TOS as she is well aware of by following it with an apology ...

OK-- this thread is hitting me at the wrong time because I have a 19 year old daughter who's actions are causing a stressful homelife and I feel that if the rest of us want any kind of normal life then she's got to be dropped on her butt.

Why do these kids lack personal accountibility?  Go to a homeless shelter, get a job, become a self-sufficient person and then find a relationship-- don't look for someone to save you or you will continue to repeat the cycle.

Leatherist -> RE: there needs to be a subbie hotline (4/11/2008 12:40:51 PM)

Don't feel so bad. I see grown women on here calling themselves "slaves" who want the same sort of sugar daddies. She'll just have to learn that everything comes at a cost-and that there ain't no such thing as a free lunch.

AMEN!
But don't limit this to just the kids. It is an issue much grander than the youth. It is pandemic across the scale.

However, this one IS owning her fault. Hopefully she can learn to NOT repeat the cycle.

KatyLied -> RE: there needs to be a subbie hotline (4/11/2008 12:48:25 PM)

Owning?
Maybe instead of childishly calling her actions "silly" she should investigate what brought her to this place and how she can avoid it in the future.
