Have you ever noticed that sometimes the one you seek has been there all along? Time, Circumstances, Distance, Closeness, & even the Ability to read each other so well, all work to keep you away from one another. The friendship is deep. Each knows what the other is thinking & each does their best to deny it.
He knows what triggers you. You know what triggers him. And yet, the pain from the past which really has nothing to do with either of you, pops up to help you both deny what you are feeling. One wants admission, the other doesn't know how to give it. He needs to know, first, before he will take her where he knows she wants to go.
The other wants to be taken, out of themselves, to be seduced & swept away to a place where words no longer have a need to be spoken, where passion becomes the reality each is feeling, a place where feelings can no longer be denied. Neither wants to be vulnerable, & so in the end......each leaves, at least until the next time their paths cross, each regrets what didn't happen, but what they both wanted.
Not really looking for feedback, just some thoughts I felt like sharing somewhere. I hope no one minds.
