I work in an office who mostly all women. Many are very young, and this is their first professional job, where things like sexual harrassment are supposed to be taken seriously. My natural personality shows through, and often the 'girls' will come to me for sexual/relationship advice. As their supervisor, I try to avoid giving them anything other than vanilla advice out of fear that they maybe offended and reach out to HR and I lose my job. I know that these young women have a tendancy to be emotional, and if they are emotional they cannot do their job, I would rather they discuss their issue with me than to be distracted and make a potentially, damaging mistake. My job is to protect the company I work for by ensuring that my staff is working accurately. Being young, and emotional, it is often easier to let them get it out, than to let it fester and have their issue taken out in some other negative form. Beyond those situations though there is a lot of sexual comments. For example, an important set of keys went missing. My supervisor said that if it turned out that I had them ... I had to admit to everyone in the office, that I enjoy internet porn. I responded by saying I hoped I had them. I didn't.

I talked to a guy years ago who worked for a govt agency and he told us that due to all the sexual harrassment lawsuits going on at the time that he would only talk to the women who worked there if it was absolutely neccessary. He said he wouldn't even say hello to them passing in the hallway. No socialising of any kind on or off the job. There must have been a lot of awkward silences and tensions at that workplace. He said he was there to do a job not to socialise. And he didn't want to get sued for sexual harrassment so he just shut down any communication that wasn't strictly job related. He said that a female co worker asked him about the world series one time and that he told her that he didn't think that would be appropriate conversation at work. Boy, I'm glad I didn't work at a place like that. (The V.A.) Funny, many years ago when I was young and looking for a job I went to the state employment office and talked to a lady about what jobs were available. After talking for a bit she said, "You know, you're a very good looking boy, you should look for a job with a female boss." I still don't know what she meant by that. KittinSol, you worked for the "U.N.?" My condolances. Forget "sexual harrassment" their "peace keepers" rape people!

General Reply to the OP. I wouldn't care at all about that. I'd of said "Big enough to get the job done". Who cares, really, I mean honestly was anyone damaged in the exchange. NO. Was anyone threatened in the exchange. NO. Was your job at risk. NO, maybe her's could be. Quite honestly, I wouldn't want to work with a person so sensitive, or hire them if I knew in advance. What a downer, that is why workplaces suck so bad, and are completely devoid of any type of happiness, or life. Because people are all looking to get offended. So, pahunkboy, do you got a big cock? Well, this is a good example of why sexual harassment laws were necessary. A person can hope to be supported by the law when their employer or co-workers compound the sexual harassment problem by acting as if the complaintant should just be a good sport and take it. Some people think that their right to make you feel uncomfortable or threatened or just plain old grossed out by their whipping out their sexual frustration and waving it around at work, is more important than your right not to have to choose between putting up with it or losing your status at work.

I stated what I would say previously, but I wouldn't have been offended in the least, and wouldn't care if everyone talked like that. It just doesn't bother me.
