Sorry to say the stuff from extreme restraints are massed produced and aren't going to last.

I would recommend "Stockroom" too...I have been ordering from them for over six years and they are great and have great customer service![sm=cheering.gif] Since they are so close even with ordering regular shipping I get the items the next day in most cases...They recently opened a store and I still have to go see it!

wow. good to know about extreme restraints. i absolutely adore good vibrations. jt's stockroom might be a new favorite too.

marieToo -> RE: Is anyone else having problems? (4/7/2008 9:02:37 PM)

I've ordered from JT's twice. Both times it was a smooth transaction, nice items, and timely delivery.

Count me in amongst the Stockroom fans.  I've bought lots of things from them and they have excellent customer service when something goes wrong, which it rarely does.  Incidentally, Stockroom have bought Stormy Leather in San Francisco, so you can find a lot of the Stockroom stuff in the shop, though it is sometimes more expensive than ordering online.  The price of instant gratification, I suppose.

Jt's stockroom is a great business. I used to know the owner long ago Joel, i've gotten many items from them in the past. And just what last year or so they bought the latex designer shop Syren, very nice new designs and they staff and sales people go above and beyond the call for customer service in my opinion.

i haven't had any problem with the 4 or 5 orders i've placed with Extreme Restraints.

As far as stuff being built to last or not, it kinda depends... Certain stuff is only manufactured by one or two places, and everyone else is just a distributor (most molded latex items, insertables, electrical toys, medical toys, etc), so you can just buy it from whoever has the best price/service deal. For actual leather gear i usually go to Mr. S Leathers or buy in person at a kink event.

I decided after reading this thread to write them a letter:

"I have never done business with your company.
I have done some business with other companies.

I am writing to you today to inform you why I will continue to do business with other companies and have no intention of becoming a customer of yours.

I belong to a BDSM forum site.
Recently, someone began a thread asking if their experience with your company's customer service was typical.
Unfortunately, the consensus seems to be that yes, it is difficult to return defective/broken items and that they have had a poor customer service response.
This exchange of information resulted in several people responding by saying they were customers but will now not be or that they were going to place an order with you but have since reconsidered.

I am writing this to let you know that word of mouth has a very powerful effect...granted, it is a small thread...26 posts at this point but to date there have been 298 views and there are over 590,500 registered users to this forum.

I am writing to you because I beleive that everyone has the capacity for positive change...including businesses such as yours

Sincerely,
..."

this was their response:
"Hello [J],

I hope this email finds you well.

Thank you for taking the time to send the email.  Though we would prefer to dwell on all the positive feedback we get, all types of feedback are welcome and appreciated; and negative feedback really is the most helpful and compelling in our ongoing quest for ways to improve our customer services and delivery system.

Without knowing the specifics from the negative posts from the thread, I don't know that I can adequately address your concerns, however, I can say without reservation, we stand behind all products we sell 100%.  Items that are defective/broken are replaced with a non-defective/non-broken version of the same product, as long as are contacted within around 30 days of receipt; and we're really very flexible with the time frame.

As a new Manager here, what I am finding is some customers do not appreciate our absolute commitment to customer safety:  Due to the personal nature of the products we sell, certain items cannot be returned for exchange or a store credit.  While this guarantees that every product you purchase from XR is new and unused, it can have the unfortunate side-effect of a customer not being happy with their non-defective product and unable to exchange it for a different product due to health risks, and sometimes this can be perceived as poor services or non-responsive to that particular customer's needs.

Please feel free to invite the negative responders and/or past customers that have experienced difficulties to email us their problems/concerns and I will specifically address those issues.  We ship approximately 20,000 orders each month, with very few complaints, so if there is additional feedback out there that can help us, we surely would appreciate it.
...

Best regards,
...

NakedOnMyChain -> RE: Is anyone else having problems? (4/8/2008 6:53:57 PM)

My question is, since there seems to be an overwhelming number of people who have had problems with their service, wouldn't it be prudent for Collarme to pull the ad on the main page?  Perhaps not.  Money is money, but I would think it might be wise not to be associated with a scame site.  Just my opinion, of course.

SteelofUtah -> RE: Is anyone else having problems? (4/8/2008 10:53:32 PM)

Yes it was J*T*'s Stockroom I was refering to.

I have no idea where my head was when I was writing the first post.

I used to work at Pal Joeys in Hide'n'Seek a Locak Swingers Club in Vegas Pal Joeys catered to the Kink Scene as some already know and before Hide'n'Seek shut down we had Taken over half of the club for Kink Geared play and started a few Club meets there are well.

I ordered nearly $2000.00 worth of merchandise through JT's Stockroom a Month..... Yes there were times I had issues but they ALWAYS fixed them.

Sure Maybe it could have been a fluke because I was ordering so much, but then when Pal Joeys Closed I was still ordering for friends and only orders of 200 to 500 dollar orders and they STILL met the same standards.

I ordered a pair of nipple/ labia screw clamps it was a 23.00 order and they were on sale. When I got them one of the Nuts was missing making one of the chain links worthless. I sent an e-mail they Mailed me a Return Lable and Sent me a Brand New one Second Day General Mail FREE OF SHIPPING CHARGE and an appology letter as well as two EXTRA nuts to make sure I was satisfied.

JT's Stockroom is Better than the Target of Kink they are a Name Brand Store with affordable prices and a customer service plan that CANNOT BE BEAT in my opinion.

I know it sounds like I'm an Add for them but let me tell you. When a company gets my attention like that I try to send as much business as I can to them because they deserve it.

As Always

Steel
