yep, here are "the lovely egl's."  although sometimes as a loli i want to wear something pink, i started out as a goth (glitter and romantic, please! although cyber goths are really hot, i don't think it suits me.) and pretty much everything i own is still black or darkthemed somehow, and i love that way of thinking and looking.

YAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!  Oh, that's so awesome to hear, most people have no idea what EGL is...

I used to be pretty active among the loli community when I was in high school, but there were too many elitist bitches who thought that they were better than everyone else because they'd spend their rent checks on Metamorphose Temps de Fille shit instead of trying to, y'know, sew them on their own.

I still have all of my Gothic & Lolita Bibles... I have so many left to get before I can complete my collection... sad!

yeah. some of  those lolis with a lot of pocket money can be very lolier than thou... and the worst is the ones who have the money to buy a meta blouse and a baby skirt and then ridicule you for not having them when they don't know to wear a petticoat underneath... or the ones who make a big deal about it when you happen to be bigger than no breasted paperweight sized japanese girls and so couldn't spend your money on brand stuff anyway.

but... it's nice to see another lolita, even an ex lolita.

To Real_Trouble: It may seem that way to you but that is not the intention. The fact is that not all goths are into fetish (even if they affect that style of dress) but many of the ones that are, are here on collarme.com and  in substantial enough numbers to make an interesting chat like this thread possible. Some pro fetish goths may have customers and friends from the er mainstream bdsm scene or not. That is a personal preference. the two are not mutually exclusive. I find goths are generally less prejudiced and more open minded about these things.

I don't mean to be a killjoy, but the reverse argument is that we already have enough sub-cliques and factionalization, so why encourage it further?

I mean, the draw to the site is BDSM, not goth culture; why discriminate on anything other than BDSM interest and topics?

This is not to say I'm for or against, but I haven't seen a discussion of that.
