Hey all.

The days have become a blur. I have no time for laundry, grocerie, gardening, or to be frank, personal time.

I avoid phones, and news  since I started  this job.

I  do have abit of flexability. I am not sure where to use it.

I am debating on weather to call off today, or tomm, or sat, sun, or mon.

Also 2 of the 4co-workers are very distracting. well- extra noise- i loose my concetration. I have wanderred to other areas, but I could step on toes doing so.

I am delighted to be part of election history, but at the moment I am burnt out.

ideas to recharge?

Can you plug yourself in?  Actually, can you listen to an ipod or something while you work to block out the annoying ones?  Or some sort of white noise player on your desk...the sound of running water or birds to keep your mind focused?  Don't take your stress home.  When you leave work, leave it there.  Don't take what others do personally.

I would say taking a day off is a step in the right direction. Don't use the day to get things done, just relax, go for a walk, just generally goof off. Better yet sleep in before you get up and goof off, lol.

As for your co-workers, have you tried talking to them? They may not be aware of how much noise they're making.

Since this is a new job, you'll have to let other things slide a bit while you get acclimated to it.
Don't beat yourself up over trying to get it all done as you used to.

i'd say best bet is find something relaxing when you get home from work. if you have a chance during your lunch break go outside and enjoy the start of spring.just a suggestion here, seeing as this is a new job it may not be wise to take a day off just yet some employers look down on that this soon in a job,if you're really sick with a cold or something yeah take a day off.but since you just started there, getting out of the building at lunch may help you more.

it's just things like that can follow you to another job down the road. find out what flexibillity you have currently and try talking with your boss about it before you make a choice to just take a day off.
