It is now possible if you have accepted to be added to someone else's friends list to get off of it by your own choice.  There is a new tab under the Friend's button that says allowed friends.  These are the people who you have accepted to be on their friends list.  You can click on them there and remove yourself from their list; they do not have to remove you themselves.  I happened to notice it last night, thought some might want to know how to do it if they had misclicked and let themselves be added on someone's list they didn't want to be added to.

 now if we could only clean out the 'admirers' list.

Well, at least that is something only you see, and is a way of people getting your attention.  The other list was visible to the members at large.

edited to add:  I'm assuming by your words, you at least liked the feature that became available.

kc692 -> RE: Friends List (3/30/2008 7:17:37 AM)

Me too, so I'm glad to see it, luckily they are not on my friends page, but I am on theirs (or, was, lol)

what creeps Me out the most is the feature that allows people to add you without permission, I end up on peoples lists that I don't know or may for theory reasons never align Myself with---at times I feel like 52 pickup--

MissSCD -> RE: Friends List (3/30/2008 7:28:50 AM)

Some people just don't want to be on them.    I love the friend's list.    I like variety in life so I have a big list.   Most are from chat.

Regards, MissSCD

I dont add anyone to my friends list that I havent talked to at least online or who I dont enjoy their posts or feel I have some connection with .. ... I have no interest in being on someones friend list or adding them to mine just because they read my profile or liked my picture .....

I too like the new feature as I have added someone by accident once or twice .. or thought I liked them and then from their posts later thought " what was I thinking " lol

lronitulstahp -> RE: Friends List (3/30/2008 7:43:44 AM)

When people i don't know ask me to be on their friends list, if their profile isn't offensive, and they are generally respectful...i use the function that adds me to thier list, but keeps them from my public circle of friends.  No harm, no foul.  i have a pretty small list.  Some people i really like, email often and have actually chatted on the phone with, or met in person aren't on it.  In a way, if we're RL friends...i don't really feel a need to put them on my CM fiends list.

This is all well and good but have they taken onboard my suggestion for an enemies list yet? I know I did make the suggestion some time ago but nout.[8|]

Hide their profiles and *poof* they disappear from the admirers list too.
