not completely.. I've put needles in.. hit a small vein and had the hub fill with blood.. no squirting though... just had the hub of the needle fill with blood

I was under the impression he meant testicle... loose skin is no problem here.

I am pretty sure the hub is going to stop it from squirting (think of the last time you had an IV inserted. The needle is put into the vein, the hub fills with blood but does not leak.) If the didn't stop it, suction or a vacuum blood tube would not be needed for a blood draw.

I do needle play, and I am a professional piercer.

Acupuncture needles are usually too soft and are not made to pass or pierce through skin, but only penetrate to the muscle tissue.

22-20g needles, 1 to 1.5 inches long are best to start with although I know people who are pierce with larger gauges. Personally, I don't think its the gauge of needle, but the sensation and the number of needles that sends a sub into endorphic space (which is why people pierce, tattoo and even suspend). You can buy these needles on ebay or most BDSM sites. I prefer with play the ones that have hypodermic tips so they can't get lost through skin and they come in colors so that's really cool to make designs with...Just make sure the skin is CLEAN before you pierce, you don't go through any blood vessels or veins, and the piercer wears gloves. Honestly? If you have never done it before you might want to go to a needle demo first. Just a suggestion.

To the OP--have you ever had your cock needled to a board? I knew someone who did that for a sub-she put a hole through a board, pulled the cock through then "pinned" it down to the board. Very nice looking. Very extreme.

you can also tie dental floss around the needles, hooking them together, give them each a tug once in a while. I used to have a site where there were pictures of these things; I think there is a gallery on the Mr. S site with this pic (I know its in the catalog). I believe if you google Mistress Ilsa Strix you might see her needle play; she says she holds the world's record for the most needles in a slave for the longest time: 5000 for 14 hours or something like that-who knows but it might be worth a look.

Our thoughts...

re blood. As a needle breaks into a vein assuming the needle is on a syringe you get "blow back" into the hub of the needle, this tells you that you are deep enough and have hit a vein, if your taking blood you then lay the needle along the axis of the vein, push a little deeper and draw the blood. The syringe is important as it is the plunger of it that stops you getting blood pumping all over the room. DONT TRY THIS AT HOME UNLESS YOU HAVE BEEN TRAINED (you need to know what to do with the torniqey, a colapsed vein, causing an unwanted embolism that result in death and all the other implicalities of taking blood.

If as is usually the case we are using needles that don't have syringes on them and you break into a vein you will get blood, but probably not till you take the needle out. To stop the bleeding just put pressure over the puncture wound for a minute or so.

Hypodermic needles have an edge ground on to them. They are designed to break the skin in a particular way to reduce damage and prevent significant bruising. The needle should be inserted so that the ground bevel edge is sideways on to the skin. This prevents the puncture from producing a fine mist of blood that is impossible to see but is air-born.

Perhaps the most important thing is to understand about cross contamination. Maria does workshops on just this and its often with people who are already well into needleplay but when she asks that all important question, 'what do you do if you stick a needle through someone and then prick your finger' most people will give the wrong answer. She teaches people that there are so many positives in needle play but also about the risks.

Needleplay can be fun and its most certainly headonistic but none of us should forget that its not worth putting your life in danger and its not worth putting a subs life in danger through ignorance. You need to be shown how to do it. You need to show that teacher that you know what your doing. I strongly believe this is not something that should be learnt from a forum or a medical journal.
