I've met quite a few wonderful people through alt. Although, since I've been coming here I haven't much time on alt as I used to. I do like their chat rooms (I usually hang out in the Socal room).

I disliked the site. Way too many hng's..... and the cross over from the swinger side was beyond annoying.

I do use Alt. It was my first web-based BDSM personals discovery after newsgroups (remember those?). I discovered it back in '96, when it was still free. So it does hold some nostalgic value. I do go there occasionally to look around, but I don't meet as many people there as I used to. The one that I gave up on completely is bondage.com. I used to frequent the message boards there quite often, but I found people there to be less friendlier then here. As much as I like to bitch about moderation, the moderators here are second to none as far as BDSM personals sites goes.

Yeah, there's good women on the site...but (the owners of the site) run that thing to trap men.

9 MORE emails "you're the EXACT man I've been looking for!!!!....(etc., etc.,).

There are good women on that site...several that I know have memberships....

But if you're looking for "The One".....

You'll have vastly improved results if you stick your thumb out on the freeway with a sign...."Will work for Domme/sub".

I like Alt. It was good cheap advertising when I was a pro dominant, and now that I have a free membership, I amuse myself by looking at pics. (sometimes SCARE myself with pics!eeeh!) I have met some great folks from that site, and yes, a fair share of wankers. Kind of like anywhere!

Adult Friend Finder was SCARY. I didn't even have a picture posted and I was getting all sorts of wack emails from guys. I had to leave after a week, it felt like a masturbators' feeding frenzy!

I have been on alt for many years. Used to be fun but slowly they made so the free members don't really get to do anything. I don't get notified of mail there till days later and it doesn't keep old mail long enough. I also hate having to contact someone several times before giving out phone numbers. What is that about?

I like this site ever so much better! I've made a few real good friends here and a lovely play partner as well. Can't wait till this weekend!

I had a gold membership on bondage last year, so this year I tried gold with alt, and was greatly disapointed, not again, and bondage got took over by penthouse, so thats almost a ghost...

WE have a gold at alt ,I like the blogs and have a few good friends from there and a hottie slave..The only way its works well is to have the set up for free members to contact you,yes more money but I do enjoy alt..

we have a couple profile there but Daddy recently closed it...we emailed with a few people that seemed fun to hang out with, but trying to coordinate schedules was too difficult.

personally, I don't like to be inundated with photos of crotches the second I log onto a website, but that's just me. not something I enjoy with the morning coffee.

I took a peek at AFF once...to quote another CM member, too much of a "sausage fest" for me. a little scary, actually.

alt has been a disappointment so far. and the boards on bondage aren't as good. it makes me not even want to update a profile there. so far, the best people seem to be from collarme.
