Happy Easter Sunday, to all!
Christians and non-Christians, this is a joyous and happy day for many!

For me, Easter brings me hope.

That is always a wonderful thing to experience.

I like spring, it's great, but I'm grumpy about most holidays. I just came in from playing Easter bunny (spent a fortune as usual) so I can get woke up at 5:00 and pretend to be surprised and happy blah blah blah

Yeah, but happy Easter anyway. Happy spring. It's been a hard cold winter, and I'm ready to play!

I will join you in your happiness. If you don't mind.
Yea!!! Spring is here! [sm=banana.gif]

No really, it is. I know because we already have planting and swimming stuff in stock.

~fr~

I once won an award for drawing the best Easter pic; I was in the 6th grade.

Everyone drew their pics of cute little bunnies and everything Easter; in the most calculated of ways.

Mine was a scruffy kind of bunny. I’m not sure I even managed to stay in the lines. (I have a real hard time with that).

So, why was mine voted 1st place, unanimously by the whole class?

*grins*

Mine was the only one that depicted an “Easter bunny”, toting an empty basket, shit eating grin, and a mouth full of cavities.[:D]

aah, Sanity don't bemoan your situation, this is the first year i haven't done all that easter stuff and while it saved me a bundle of money, i kind of miss it.  in fact...it's probably not too late to run out and get a few things....

Rule -> RE: Happy Easter Sunday! (3/23/2008 6:51:06 AM)

I was wondering about the festive colours of collarme.com on the other side; even deluded myself that I saw some kind of bunny at the com-part of it...

Today was like any other Sunday.

It just did not feel like Easter, maybe I should have bought a bonnet and went to church....fuck that!

bought a bonnet!  OMG that is so darn cute, an Easter bonnet?  With flowers on it?

MsPoetress -> RE: Happy Easter Sunday! (3/23/2008 6:25:47 PM)

Growing up I would always get a new dress and occassionally a match bonnet for Easter.

Good times [sm=banana.gif]

MzMia -> RE: Happy Easter Sunday! (3/23/2008 6:29:35 PM)

It is so darn cute to see the little girls with their white dresses on an Easter bonnets!

I have to admit, I had a few Easter bonnets myself in the 60's and mine had flowers on

them.

I still have a few pictures of myself about 5 with my Easter bonnet on, can you say priceless?

LadyPact -> RE: Happy Easter Sunday! (3/23/2008 8:03:23 PM)

Yes, Happy Easter for all.

It also happens to be My husband and I's sixth wedding anniversary.

Poetryinpain -> RE: Happy Easter Sunday! (3/23/2008 8:40:30 PM)

Happy anniversary, Lady Pact and hubby!

Our church bell choir played for the first time today, and they did a superb job. And as usual, former choir members and anyone else who wanted to, joined the choir for what my sister used to call the "Hoot and Holler Chorus" (Hallelujah from Messiah).

We spent time with my roommate's family. Good food, good company, good feelings.

Pyrrsefanie -> RE: Happy Easter Sunday! (3/23/2008 8:51:14 PM)

I got to eat chocolate for breakfast.

Yep, I am a very happy lady... though I'd be happier with a pedicure and a massage.  [:(] So neglected...

Going back to those Pagan Roman days, wasn't Easter a day of celebrating fertility and lots of sex? Even as a Christian, I don't mind celebrating a little bit of the old ways. [;)]
