Status: offline 		This is My official disclaimer for anyone out there who is offended by the things that I say or that I post.  Here are all of the apologies I plan to offer anyone, unless I've specifically been wrong.

When I write things on these boards, I do what I can to give an honest view of the way I see things because it is the way I'm living My life.  I mght be poly, where you are mono.  I might be female, where you are male.  I might be Domme, where you are sub.  I am most certainly Me, where you are.... well.... you.

What I write, or say, or think, or feel, doesn't have anything to do with "The One True Way".  It has to do with My way.  The way I handle situations in My day to day life.  Many times, these are things you are experiencing for yourself, or you're about to, and I only come here talking about how it worked for Me.  The only way My way is better than yours, is the success I've had in using it.  Yes, I've been known to be wrong.  I can deal with that.  So should you.

Basically, what I'm saying is, if you came to these boards, to ask for opinions, or advice, or from someone who has a particular experience, I'll be more than happy to give it to you.  Granted, you may not like it, and you may not necessarily agree with it, but they come from Myself.

This, I would think, is My best attempt at giving you what you asked for.

I am often accused of "one-true-wayism."  You can't let it get to you.  For those who wish to interpret words and misapply them, go them.  I have my own personal views about the ways of things; I don't impose them on others but I do relay them to my own experiences.  The list of insults I have received is too long to list anymore, but I don't absorb them, and I don't believe them.  Nor will I apologize for being who I am, and expressing myself as such.

And good luck getting rid of "weal" and "twue."  They have always been silly references to me and I tend to discount the credibility of posts that contain them.

Enjoy yourself, have fun, be informative, and let the rest go!  :)

Status: offline 		People personalize things and compare their world to your world, and when they don't match, decide that you must think your world is "better."  So they feel insulted and respond as such.

It's not a philosphy I subscribe to, but it happens.  People are in competition with each other.  The thing is, when one is fully secure with who he/she is, the need to compare and compete dies away.  That's how it was with me, anyway.  When I felt inferior to the world, I thought everyone was throwing their "betterness" in my face.  Now that I am happy with my world, I enjoy information sharing, and see it as just that.

Status: offline 		Personally I dont think that I have ever thought either your post nor owned were advocating a one true way. I think the problem comes in when people dont simply say this is how I do it (or imply it) but simply dump on everything else. What works for one doesnt always work for the other and thats fine, the things I was are differant from what others want, the only time I think its a 'one true way' idea is when there isnt really an argument but instead a "yeah but thats just shit" which I have seen a fair bit of. Slagging something off with no real reason except its not how you do it is really just pathetic but if some people need that to feel better about how they do it then fair enough. Saying well thats not how it works for me is fine, you can say that without shitting on everything else and thats what I always get from LP and owned's posts.

Status: offline 		You know, I'm never idiotic enough to think that someone expressing thier prefferences means that they expect me to follow them by default.

Maybe it's the ones shouting intolerance that actually need to learn some?

Status: offline 		*shrugs* as far as i know, the "One True Way" doesn't exist. What's good for one isn't for someone else. Your way of doing things is just as valid as someone else's, the "right" way is whatever works in each relationship.
 
BTW how smart of you to get all your apologies out of the way all at once

Who are these 'ones' shouting intolerance? What are they shouting intolerance about? And why does them shouting intiolerance upset you?

Don't you think it's a waste of time trying to give advice to people you don't know and don't understand?

Why do you think these people need to learn more tolerance? To be more like you?

Now who's being intolerant here?

Why don't you just concentrate on being you, and on what you think and feel, and let everyone else do the same? What does it matter to you what they think anyway?

Now you might think I'm shouting intolerance here. However I've explained where I'm coming from, I feel I'm more teaching tolerance by example.

This is what I think. What you think may be different, you may agree, disagree, take my advice, or reject it. It doesn't matter to me.

This is tolerance.
