I've been adding cinnamon to my green tea and oatmeal for years now because it's supposed to help prevent diabetes. I don't use honey because it can raise blood sugar and isn't on the South Beach plan. There is an imitation honey i've used in some recipes.

I have always been told to use local honey as it has the antibodies that are needed in the local area ... maybe a myth but seems to work for me ... so I search out the local beekeepers wherever I am ...
