I love that after six hours the backyard is raked and the leaves are all burnt and all the dog stuff is cleaned up too.


Even though my body aches and I have blisters all over my hands the yard is now officially ready for it to snow.

I'm too lazy to rake and simply run the lawnmower over the leaves.  It picks them up AND shreds them too, so I can use them as mulch.

I tried that, but it just seemed like more of a hassle to stop every 3 minutes and empty out the lawn mower bag and it kicked up quite a bit of dirt. I have lil under an acre of land for my backyard. The backyard belongs to the dogs the front to me. Soooo that should explain a lot lol. All the trees however, are in the backyard. Last year I didn't get to them in time and in the spring it was a really nasty mess.

I've never, in 5 years, on an average of twice a week, had anything bad there.  :)  Was a good afternoon (even though Penn State lost).  Hit the store and picked up 6 turkeys at 40c./lb.  (thank god for full size freezers),  got to spend a couple hours with our veterinarian/friend/colleague and had a good late lunch, and came home to the bedding being done in the dryer, so, nice, fresh, warm blankets,  and now getting to laze about.  Even finished my weekend work/research/testing/etc. early.  It's been a good day.  Only one thing missing so far...  Hopefully I can add that too later. [;)]

And tomorrow doing up some fresh bread, some other yummys...  have a friend coming over to watch some football with me, have a few drinks, just relax and enjoy life for a couple hours.  Unless something completely unexpected and insane happens, it's shaping up to be a grand weekend.  MAYBE even go grab a pumpkin malt from coldstone, not sure... [:D]

I almost went to Penn.  Was tossed up between there, Tennessee (my family wanted me to go there, history of Vols), and Univ. of Utah.  Well, I ended up in Utah... I know!  What the hell?  Of those three, I chose UTAH!?  They offered the best scholarship.  I didn't end up with a good football career, so I'm glad I came here on a different scholarship for sociology.  Better program for that here also.  Not one of those schools that is thought about much, but it's a great great college.

i love it when i realize what a kind, wonderful, and loving man i'm in a relationship with... Today we were supposed to go to a munch, and when He picked me up from my 2nd job and He asked me if i wanted to go i said..."if You do, Sir"...to which He quickly informed me that was not an answer to His question. So, i said i was actually too tired. So, we stopped and got some chipotle chicken taco's and came home.... All of a sudden i started having horrible asthma problems.......
He told me to take a nap....Which soon lead to me having horrible asthma attacks in my sleep.....
i love it when this man...the man that i love..the man that chooses on a daily basis to love me.. told me tonight that this party that He has been looking forward to going to for at least 6 months we would not be going to because i was too sick...

I love that when I was washing the ambulance yesterday by myself
2 of my newest shift members found brushes and started helping w/o being
asked. I was thanking them & 1 guy who was a FF and hasn't ridden the ambo
with me since his rookie days told me"I'll always be here for you, Pam, you're the first
one who taught me and told me I was useful".
THAT made my day[:)]

Hell yes! I openly admit to that. lol Your point is what? That is my new protien drink. lmfao


Swallowing those particular protein drinks is not only pleasurable but very good for a gal in other ways. I saw an article once in an issue of Playboy, years ago when it was twice as thick as it is now and had all those nifty articles and essays, that broke down the nutritional contents of joy juice, how it had this much of these vitamins, those minerals, and milligrams of protein (I forget the numbers on these. I'll have to  look it back up). Nice to ingest and My skin likes it too (actually cleared up some acne once. true story)..
P.S. It *IS* nice when something tastes as good as you remember, indeed..

(and I have some interesting news that I just really love and am just burning up to share.. it has to do with the miracle of having met a real person in real life from collarme last night, and having very positive results, but dunno if I should journal it or post it here - if anyone knows of a thread where this news belongs more, please let me know and I'll go froth at the mouth about it over there, no problem)

...after 8 weeks of searching it I finally find my police check which is needed for my placement...(needed to be allowed to work unsupervised)...I was searching it EVERYWHERE...and I kept getting nagged on about it...as understandibly they need to SEE it...and somehow a few days ago all of a sudden, whilst I was standing in my lounge, I thought "my police check is underneath my fridge." [8|]

Don't ask me why I remembered that all of a sudden but somehow a very old memory came up that it once dropped down there whilst I was cleaning and I thought to myself at that time "don't forget that this is underneath there..."

So I had a look underneath there today...finally...and there it was [:D] I only had to move my fridge-freezer for about 10 cm to be able to see it already [:)]

As I always said, people who are tidy are only too lazy to search!!!

Thank goodness my memory still searches in older drawers sometimes, though [8|]
