...when i stumbled over marvellous material for essay yesterday and after reading half of new stuff last night finally the penny dropped...at last. Now my essay is almost joy :o)

...when i am actively involved in two teams on placement and have staff who is very keen on giving me plenty
learning opportunities despite the fact that they don't have to...today 1 staff pushed me in the deep end with
suggesting me to do the remaining parts from our assessment...fucking sake that was not on our script. She asked during assessment,i said no and the shen asked client if she mind when i continue...sulk...which part from "no" did she not understand...all of a sudden i was awake big time then...but on plus side it is nice that she takes me along so fine, just throw your challenges at me *sigh*

safer to do the "into the frying pan" when you've got the staff there. and when patients find out you're a newbie, they tend to be a whole HELL of a lot more patient with you. Once, patient was asked, approved and asked all the questions i didn't, so we BOTH learned a lot that time. She enjoyed it. She remembered my name and smiled at me every time she saw me after that [:)]

I love days like this one.
 
Dad went to the nursing home at 8am this morning.  I went up at 4 and took his cloths and a few other personal items, filled out all the paperwork necessary, and made certain he was settled in.  He is, and he actually likes it there.  The nursing home is 3 blocks from home, so it's close enough to Walk to go visit on a regular basis - but far enough away that I get to REST.
 
Other half has been in the hospital all of this week as well - different floor, different reason (pnumonia!) same hospital - and he got to come home this afternoon between when dad got transfered and when I needed to go fill out paperwork.  I love that he has moved in with me (just before he came down with pnumonia, lol - but hey, that's better now)  and life is actually looking pretty damned good.
