I love it when I'm able to use a Kali-ism on my sister whom I love dearly, but she can be a real bitch at times.  We were talking about something she thought for sure Dad would like for his place, but wanted to know what I thought he would say.  I said to ask him first, before buying it.  She yelled at me and told me that I always had to "one up" her by knowing what Dad would like better than her.  I said, "Your perception is not based in my reality."  She quit talking, so I hung up.

Red....i honestly and seriously cried when i read this.... i cried with such an enormous amount of pride..... You have no idea how happy i am that You are able to stand up for Yourself in this way to her...

I love you, Kali.  I thank you for everything.  I thank you for encouraging me to get the help I needed when I needed it most.  I'm grateful that, tonight, I had an epiphany, and I was able to remember one of a million wonderfully useful things you have taught me this past year, and when someone asked, I recalled our talk when you said, "You can't hold both... you have put the spoon down, don't you?"  (do you remember this?)  You are the catalyst for the healthier me that types to you now.  For that, I am so very, truly blessed to call you one of the best and dearest friends I have ever known.
