I love that my Dad just got one of the last pieces of information that he needs to move into his new place. Tomorrow we will get the next piece, then he may be moving in this weekend.

*sigh*

I will miss not having him under my roof and constant care, but he's a grown man, has more energy and spunk than lots of younger folks, and he wants to be on his own, near his friends. How can I discourage that? I can't...

Thing 2 is supportive, Thing 1 is devestated, and I'm somewhere in between. I'm happy like a parent watching their kid go off to college... a mixture of thrilled and melancholia.

The good thing is that he's only 10 miles away from our home now, and only 8 blocks from my office.

The even better thing is that he is still in good health and can live on his own at 84 years.

i love it that red is allowing her dad to live his life the way he sees fit........i love that she's embracing changes in her life today.
i love that i've gotten so much cmail today....  i love it when i'm convinced no one ever reads my posts ya'll go and prove me wrong!!
i love it that my employer has finally seen the light and realizes my work load is more than one normal person can handle....
